You Should Hail, Part 2

Previously, on MinerBumping... Idealistic young Agent Sir Demonic came across Frost Pax, a miner in a distress. She was confused and upset because Sir Demonic killed her. She felt our Agent should've "hailed" before attacking. Sir Demonic took time from his busy schedule to tell her why she was wrong.
Frost Pax > whare do i buy the permite
Sir Demonic > As an agent, I am authorized to sell you a permit.
Frost Pax > no my friend
Frost Pax > not from you
Frost Pax > the market
Frost Pax > this "permite"
Frost Pax > should pe on the market
Frost Pax > if this is the LAW
So close. Frost nearly bought a mining permit, but she got hung up on the fact that it's not an in-game item. It was a classic symptom of bot-aspirancy--a failure to embrace emergent gameplay and player-created content.
Frost Pax > lets imagine somthing else, you live in a country with 1000 people, and you all decide that want a "Law", but the goverment dosent suport it, its that a law?
Sir Demonic > Yes, it is.
Sir Demonic > If the people decide to oppose the government and make their own laws, the government is powerless as it needs the people to uphold their laws. The New Order on the other hand is perfectly capable of upholding their laws.
Sir Demonic > To this point, over 3000 mining permits have been sold to players, that is over 30 billion ISK. 40 trillion ISK in noncompliant vessels have been destroyed. We are the law, that should prove it.
For some reason, Frost felt that the Code was not the legitimate law of highsec. I think she assumes real-world laws are handed out by NPCs or something. A new take on the concept of divine right, perhaps.
Frost Pax > yeah, i think the MINERS comunity are much more THEN YOU "THE ORDER":
Frost Pax > this are not OFFICIAL EVE
Frost Pax > if its not writen by eve
Frost Pax > its not true
Sir Demonic > https://zkillboard.com/alliance/99002775/ in case you do not believe me.
Frost Pax > what prove this?
Sir Demonic > It proves that CODE. is capable of upholding our laws.
Our Agents, though idealists, are also pragmatists. Sir Demonic showed Frost proof that the New Order effectively asserts control over highsec.
Frost Pax > excet that you only destroy ships
Sir Demonic > And we sell mining permits, we bump miners out of range, we do everything possible to uphold the New Halaima Code of Conduct.
Frost Pax > you BUMP? dude you destroy a 27Mil ship with 5 mil fitting, without WARNING!!! WITH NO WARNING!
Miners are funny. If you bump them, they'll say they wish you had the guts to gank them. But when you gank them, suddenly they're pro-bump.
Sir Demonic > Did you see the warning the game gives about me being in the system?
Frost Pax > ah, no
Sir Demonic > A big gray sign right in the middle of the screen?
Frost Pax > did you see me react when you target me?
Sir Demonic > No, actually, I did not.
Sir Demonic > You were doing nothing at all.
Frost Pax > BECAUSE I WAS AFK, TAKING A SHIT,
The other shoe dropped. New Order Agents are the finest in the world at conducting interrogations; their success rate at eliciting confessions is incredible. Maybe that's why some people assume we use torture.
Frost Pax > THAT IS WAY
Frost Pax > YOU DESTROY A SHIP THAT ONLY STAYS IN SPACE
Sir Demonic > So why would it have made a difference if I had messaged you?
Frost Pax > ah yeah
Frost Pax > in that point
Frost Pax > i wouldev buyd that stupid permite
Sir Demonic > You would have been AFK anyways, and it would have been my obligation to destroy you.
Frost indulged in a little bit of "I would've bought a permit, but now I won't." Nice try, but she'd already admitted that she'd never buy something unless it was sold on the in-game market.
Frost Pax > that is another "LAW"
Frost Pax > of yourse
Frost Pax > if a ship is afk
Frost Pax > DESTROY IT?
Sir Demonic > Of course. Why would that be a bad thing?
Sir Demonic > If you wish to go AFK, you can dock up in a station.
Frost Pax > ok, thanks for the lesson my friend
Frost Pax > i hope you dont bump in to me
Frost Pax > EVER
The miner was horrified to learn that AFK mining is against the rules. I guess she hadn't gotten very far into the Code.
Sir Demonic > If you go AFK in space without a cloaking device, you can always expect losing your ship.
Sir Demonic > And even with a cloaking device, it can happen.
Frost Pax > I AM IN HI SEC
Frost Pax > I DONT NEED TO HIDE
Sir Demonic > It is called HighSec, not SafeSec. Highsec is not supposed to be safe.
Frost's EVE career was built on faulty assumptions; her unhappiness was inevitable. Protip: Build upon the solid foundation of the Code instead.
Frost Pax > BEUCASE I WAS NOT DOING ENYTHING WROK
Frost Pax > YOU PISS OF SHIT!
Frost Pax > I HOPE YOU ROOT
Frost Pax > IN THE FRONT OF YOU
Frost Pax > PC/LAPTOP
Sir Demonic > Miner, I must ask you to calm down now.
In the end, Frost couldn't accept that she was guilty. Her refusal to embrace the Code manifested itself in Goofus-like behavior.

However...

A few days later, Frost moved out of highsec to try her hand at wormhole living. No matter how angry or foolish the carebear's reaction, never assume that an Agent's lessons don't sink in. The Code is a powerful thing, you know?

    3. Hey there Frost, you will find that in EVE if you are respectful most of the playerbase will try very earnestly to help you.

On the other hand, if you continue to call people idiots and act like a child, you will be trolled mercilessly.
