Avengers Disassemble, Part 1

Countless Agents of the New Order operate in organizations outside of the mighty CODE. alliance. Among the deadliest of these independent Agents is Arden Elenduil.

Arden got a hot tip about Code violations occurring within the Avengers Of Death corporation. We get leads like this all the time, but we always make absolutely certain of their veracity before taking punitive action.

Our Agent sent a spy into the highsec corp and discovered that everything he'd been told was true. There was corruption everywhere.

As they say, the fish rots from the head. CEO Legend Bramotieen was a true villain who indulged in decadence while his corp members slaved away in mining ops.

While Arden's spy remained in hiding, Arden himself flew over to the corp's Raitaru-class engineering complex. There he spotted Legend Bramotieen and his chief attack dog, Strife DarkStar.

The Avengers Of Death corp was not to be underestimated. While diplomatic negotiations were still ongoing, Legend and Strife both attacked Arden, who had suspect status. This was an act of extreme treachery. Arden was outnumbered two to one... Unless you count the Code. If you count the Code, those villains were completely surrounded.

Arden's Vexor parried attacks from both of the Avengers. Arden succeeded in destroying Legend's Talos, a formidable ship-that-can-shoot-back. The Talos was equipped with sophisticated defenses including 200mm plates and a Civilian armor rep, as well as a tech II medium hull rep for back-up. Its weaponry was equally impressive: A rack of rail guns made all the more powerful by an energy weapon rig.

With the Talos out of the way, Arden's Vexor went toe-to-toe with Strife's Vexor, which sported Steel plates and a speed mod paired with reinforced bulkheads. Arden prevailed against Strife. But several minutes later, Strife returned to the field of battle with his most powerful ship: An Oracle-class Attack Battlecruiser.

Arden's faith in the Code paid off. He managed to defeat Strife's Oracle, which had plenty of empty lows and rigs for maximum versatility. The Oracle had an array of lasers--and plenty of Iridium charges in the cargo, just in case the lasers' ammo started running short.
Arden Elenduil > about 200m in losses for you already, how much higher do you want it to go?
Strife DarkStar > go to fucking hell dude
Arden Elenduil > now now, let's remain polite
Arden Elenduil > no need for insults
Now that Arden had beaten his enemies in elite, consensual(!) PvP, it was time to negotiate for real. Strife, the corp pit bull, wasn't interested.
Legend Bramotieen > Lol its cool dark guys like this tends to have to pick onnew players
Arden Elenduil > I'm afraid your friend left the convo
Legend Bramotieen > But yeah im not giving you 500m so you can go suck a dirty dick and die. You blow up our base go for ill just build a new its cool.
Arden Elenduil > That's a shame
CEO Legend Bramotieen wasn't any more diplomatic after losing his prized Talos. Arden decided to switch tactics.
Legend Bramotieen > How about you go pick on someone who isnt so new to this game.
Arden Elenduil > think of all your corp members, they'll also be losing stuff
Legend Bramotieen > LMMFAO my members dont put stuff there
Arden Elenduil > oh, I'm not talking about the base
Arden Elenduil > they'll be losing ships
Unfortunately, few highsec CEOs will respond to an appeal to their corp members' safety. They tend to have very little regard for their corp members, actually.
Arden Elenduil > Oh, and ehhh, if you can fly battlecruisers and place a citadel or engineering complex
Arden Elenduil > you're no longer new in my book
Arden Elenduil > Oh well, I'll be seeing you around then I suppose
Arden Elenduil > ta-ta
Legend Bramotieen > So tell me why pick on new players when we barely have anything
For his part, Legend's only tactic was to repeatedly play the "newbro" card. This tends not to be effective when you're always flaunting your cash.
Arden Elenduil > You have plenty
Arden Elenduil > Raitarus are worth 600+m on the open market
Arden Elenduil > you fly battlecruisers, and battleships according to your killboard
Legend Bramotieen > because i know how o save my ISK unlike some poepl
Legend Bramotieen > but to bad you will never get it
The Avengers Of Death CEO was defiant. Arden saw no alternative now. He was going to war.

To be continued...

    1. I really admire that the Saviour gives praise where deserved, even for enemies of the Code. Some people just criticize these miners/bots without looking on the good side.

For instance, he compliments Strife's fit by pointing out that he "had plenty of empty lows and rigs for maximum versatility."

And, of course, he points out Legend's (heh) "impressive" weaponry -- "A rack of rail guns made all the more powerful by an energy weapon rig."

Thank you, Saviour, for doling out praise where deserved, and lots of lolz for the rest of us!

  6. Naturally the skinflint CEO is willing to throw his corp slaves under the bus while brandishing his own incompetence.

Can't wait for the next part!

  10. So these two highsec shitters start a fight, lose horribly to a single Agent (and the Code of course), then get butthurt and start with the foul language and poor sportsmanship?

Both of them deserve to be schooled in proper EvE mechanics by an Agent like Arden.

I love it when bullies like strife and legend get what's coming to them.
