Kills of the Week: Super Uedama Edition, Part 2

Previously, on MinerBumping... A lot of ships got blown up during the week.

It was a very, very bad week for Code-violating freighter pilots.

Wheldrake could have gone for a full-tank fit on her freighter, but she was tempted to spent a slot on herself. If you're flying a freighter without a mining permit, those little indulgences can kill.

Among the cargo: Over four and a half billion isk worth of logistics ships. These might have been intended for use in preventing ganks. We don't know. Wheldrake never asked us for permission to haul them through our territory.

Ouch! Maalox163 probably got a nasty feeling in his stomach once he realized his jump freighter was converted into a 12.1 billion isk killmail. He went for a full anti-tank fit. Why not? CCP has nerfed suicide ganking to the point where highsec is 100% safe, right? Not yet, pal.

Another milestone has been reached! The New Order is now powerful enough to gank even fully-tanked jump freighters. As seen on the killmail, Yuki Nagashima's Rhea took over 448,000 raw damage points. About a dozen Taloses were sacrificed for this kill, among other gank ships.

Another jump freighter down. Salander Raholan, too, opted for a full tank fit but was still destroyed. This particular killmail caused a bit of a stir when it was circulated. The Ark was carrying less than 20 million isk worth of cargo. Our Agents knew this, but they killed it anyway. For the first time, skeptics realized how serious the New Order is about its Code.

Speaking of commitment to the Code, freighter pilot texas tornado79 purchased a mining permit from Agent DJentropy Ovaert. He didn't want to potentially lose a multi-billion isk ship for want of a 10 million isk permit. However...

texas tornado79 was caught AFK autopiloting a freighter through Uedama. He was found guilty of violating the Code and instantly had his permit revoked. The New Order is not a bunch of thieves, pirates, and extortionists. We follow a Code. You can't pay us off for 10 million isk. Would someone be forgiven for blowing up a school bus full of children if he gave a few bucks to charity?

texas was furious when he returned to his keyboard and discovered what was happening. He thought he'd put one over on the New Order. He was dead wrong.

Like many freighter pilots, texas believed it's CCP's responsibility to keep highsec 100% safe. If he files a petition, he'll be in good company.

In truth, the carebear never intended to follow the Code. He hated the Code. What set him apart is that he was able to do a tiny bit of math and come to the conclusion that it was suicidal not to buy a permit. His true colors were revealed after the gank.

Despite the most recent nerf to freighter ganking, the carebears are demanding CCP nerf freighter ganking again. The threadnought started in response to New Order attacks is nearing 100 pages on EVE-O. Carebears know it's too easy to kill freighters, because freighters are dying. If freighters stop dying then they'll stop begging for a nerf--though they'll demand some other form of highsec aggression be nerfed.

^ Credit Agent Nitetime Video. Sadly, this is not an unrealistic portrayal of what's happening.

Nor is Agent DJentropy Ovaert's. I feel nothing but compassion for the GMs whose job it is to deal with so many frivolous complaints.

In all, 40 freighters and 3 jump freighters were terminated during the week covered by the Kills of the Week post. Adding kills from the last two days, the number rises to 59 freighters and 4 jump freighters.

To put the slaughter into perspective, consider the first Burn Jita event in 2012. The combined forces of the CFC and HBC, somewhere around 40,000 characters, were called upon to participate. Thousands showed up, including many players in leadership positions. It was publicized throughout EVE, and CCP was forced to add a warning to the splash screen for everyone logging into the game. Burn Jita was covered by video game media, not just EVE media. During Burn Jita, 53 freighters and 12 jump freighters were killed. That's more isk damage than was inflicted by the New Order's activities in Uedama--but actually not that far off. Our gankers are becoming remarkably efficient killing machines.

The following is not an exhaustive list of the Agents who appeared on freighter killmails--just the freighter/jump freighter kills featured above: Agents Aaaarrgg, Alttwo Nicko, Amarr Puhkastu, Anal Canal, Big G Chelien, Bjorn Hinkel, Brutal Anna, Casper Khamez, D400, DJentropy Ovaert, ELicken, Erika Anzomi, Greg Biffle, Jerry Rin, Jessie Gunn, John E Normus, Jon 1, Kalorned, Keraina Talie-Kuo, Korporaal Paling, Krominal, Lizzie Cuddlesnatch, loyalanon, Mad Fatchick Killer, Maddie Mcbumplug, Nerfbat Aldent, Nicholas Deathmaul, Nitetime Video, Pod-Goo RepoWoman, Princess Suicide, Radric Davids, reaper Shardani, Rick Therapist, Sophia Soprano, Walter Kramer, and Zane Arnolles.

Heroes, all of them.

  3. Congratulations to all the Knights who delivered this stunning blow to ignorance and bot-aspirancy!

Another outstanding achievement in the process of bringing to Highsec the rule of mercy and compassion.

All Hail, James 315, Father of the New Order!

Strange way to win, but then maybe you are setting your standards low enough to all these as wins...

  8. Good job guys, how long you think you can do that ?? what will happen when it will be not enough player for build your ships ? player to gank ?

Because you encourage the player to run away by forcing them to play as you want (like for them to be easy target for your coward pvp)

just for remind you at some moment the number of player in eve was around 70-80k during the pick time, now it around 20-26k player. I don't say if all your fault but you definitely encourage this.

    1. Um, they have their own logistics pipeline.

They could always join up with Code. fleets and see what all the fun was about.

70-80k??? Made-up numbers are still made-up. When did you see these "numbers" during Alliance tournaments?

    2. Considering the Peak Concurrent User (PCU) record is somewhere around 65k... I mean...

      Delete
    3. there was never 70-80k, nice exaggeration

      Delete
    4. ok yes is an exaggeration but the fact is eve lose more and more player, and this kind of thing make it worse that a fact make player (new and old) give up and run away. If this fact don't interest you that mean you just don't care about the future of this game

    5. Being online with 20-26K sandbox players is worth more than 70-80K or a million WoW or Hello Kitty players.

Numbers of players does not quality of gaming make.

    6. true but a game without new player is a dead game is a fact and eve only loss player since some years

      Delete
    7. Can you provide proof/source on where you are getting this information of eve losing players specifically due to suicide ganking please?

      Delete
    8. I never say specialy because of that (where do you read that ???) so stop playing with word and use your brain. and the fact eve lose player everyone know that and you can see that in game.

    1. Interesting statement that you seem to love making. Does the code, yes, lower case. always win? If so, why have I've been mining like a boss at work, afk for more than 20mins at a time, the last 2 years making a nice passive income and never had the grace of being in the so-called presence of one of your agents.

Why haven't you come saved me? -sadface-

    2. It is because code is so adverse to loosing that they set the bar so low that they can't loose...

    4. Of-course, if you are "CODE" and always win, why should I go out of my way to tell you who I am?

You always win... it shouldn't matter if I stay anonymous right? ... right?

      I dunno..

  14. Welcome brave reader and brace yourself as the wall of text stands before you.

At first I have to admit that while I agree in some degree to Code's ideas (non use of needless profanity, getting rid of actual bots etc.) about better high sec I have been finding these newer posts partly disturbing for few reasons including:

    1. Double standards: I have read many earlier news about "carebears" connecting loss of virtual assets to hope of RL punisment for knights of the Code (for exsample Psychoinmate Assylum's famous statement you often quote) which is indeed unpolite and unacceptable. However in for exsample this post you make similar connection with "Would someone be forgiven for blowing up a school bus full of children if he gave a few bucks to charity?". Don't you feel like that's going a bit too far? I think there's a sane person that would consider doing something like that.
Surely not fully following "virtual God's virtual Code" in a computer game can't be connected to massacre in any way? I mean they are hardly equal matters.

You also mention about how Code don't accept rasism yet you seem to classify players simply by the way they play the game. How does stating someone is "bad player", "carebear", "miner" etc follows idea of equality as I believe people should be equal? Would it noble to spit others just because they like something that you might not find enjoyable.

Personally I would love to think it's not Code's public view but when you read more about recent events (including targeting spesific players and following them in other games, group ganking of new player who just managed to get their first mining ship etc.) and how James seem to accept and support all these actions without second doubts one can only wonder how equal people really are for Savior of High Sec. Surely knights and especially leader himself should lead by actions and not by words alone?

    2. Along years minerbumping's news format has started to act more and more would I dare to say .. arrogant. You have made your Holy mission to some sort of circus as you try to insult targeted players as much as you can picking some spesific lines of his statements (I still don't support their profanity as stated before) and twist them in the way you can continue your clever word play for further amusement of .. who really?

One possiblity that came to a mind were monthly supporters who demand that "show goes on" and as Code seem to be more interested to follow their ideas than gaining material advantages (unprovitable ganking where you actually lose ISK for ganking ship with no loot etc.) it seems Code has become more and more dependent of these montly supporters than before. If you no longer delivered their entertainment would they still be offering such generous donations for your cause?
Someone would no doubts about that but will they do that because they support Code's actions fully or because much of their donation money comes from same repeatative and bot like routines including station trading and now they want to feel they are actually making atleast some diffrence in game?

Well speculating is easy and I quess only time will tell if what I wrote were taken as I hope it to present - constructive criticism or if it will be completely ignored as some sort of rebel propaganda. Don't get me wrong by the way as I'm not expecting that everything will be changed to along the lines of what I see to be right and wrong. This is only something I would like to state as concerned reader and hopefully I will see day when the new yet equal High Sec will show it was worth fighting for.

Post note: That became quite wall of text and I know there will be plenty of grammar mistakes including typos but you know that's what happens when you feel like there's something you really want to talk about while not being native english speaker and writer.
