Kills of the Week

Is highsec safe? The question is like asking whether a public highway is safe. It will never be 100% safe, of course; such is life. But just how safe it is depends very much on the driver. If you choose to obey the law, remain alert, and conduct yourself in a responsible manner, you're going to be much safer than a guy who deliberately drives off into a ditch to satisfy his own morbid curiosity.

Needless to say, our hypothetical ditch-driver is no crazier or more reckless than the sorry carebear who wades through highsec without a mining permit. We all know what happens to him. From the week of September 3rd @ 00:00 EVEtime through September 9th @ 23:59 EVEtime:

The fittingly named but poorly fitted theconfusedone restored the macabre tradition of carebears losing billion isk Hulks. In fact, his decadent exhumer was worth just shy of 2 billion isk before Agents Pod-Goo RepoWoman and Aaaarrgg reduced it to ashes. In addition to a pair of ORE Strip Miners, he had a full rack of 'Aoede' Mining Laser Upgrades. A singularly poor investment.

Garphos Trectes had the presence of mind to load up his hauler with armor tank mods. On the other hand, he was too absentminded to purchase a mining permit before he began his journey. Agents Ralliana, Underpaid Ship Mechanic, and Luna Nightblood hammered Garphos with a trio of Tornadoes.

Just think of all the illegal mining that must've gone into this.

Uedama was the final destination for Sajuuk Vakarian and his named-anti-tanked freighter. The Kusion family's legacy struck in the form of another rising clan, the Rozei family. Agents Sherri Rozei, Ruby Rozei, Christine Rozei, Tawny Rozei, Trump The King, Giselle Rozei, Shanade Rozei, Lagatha Rozei, Baron Rozei, Katy Rozei, Harletta Quinn, and Ivanka Rozei bombed and blasted the freighter to bits.

Derp Fido lost a stunning 31.5 billion isk when she anti-tanked her freighter and went on autopilot in New Order territory. A massive gank fleet was ready for her, salivating at the prospect of capturing her illegal goods. Agents Tantaria Stavanghar, Elite Highsec PvP, BAE B BLUE, Yojiro, Franz Fizzleblade, ClearLove, BAE B PEW, Bint Bint, Synamic, Unfit ForDoody, Padre Gankero, Lucita Pappotte, SynthiaGreey, ZAKURELL0 LINDA, Gea Stormbound, Kled Schietschip, Pat Makunt, Wylde Ranger, Bluekiss, Selina Love, Basic Black Bitch, Padme Love, Ngoq TlhamChu', Tender Sometimes, Lucifer Jaynara, Lunar Love, and Rosanna Love got their wish: They confiscated over 25 billion isk of contraband in a single kill.

Speaking of the fruits of illegal mining... Crime doesn't pay. Only the Code does.

Dena Esil was too cheap to get herself a proper combat ship; she was caught flying an 11 million isk weapon-less frigate. For whatever reason, though, Dena thought her neutered Slasher would perform better with 2.6 billion isk worth of implants. Agent Aaaarrgg parted the carebear from her ship and her implants.

An armor-tanking pod for a ship with virtually no armor. Foolish.

Impressively, exex managed to lose an even more expensive pod than Dena. Agent Pod-Goo Repoman spotted a naked pod hanging out in highsec and jumped on the chance to claim it. The result: A crushing loss of over 5 billion isk for the carebear.

Looks like exex returned to EVE after a two-year absence, only to find that the Code is still very much alive--unlike his own ships.

This is what a 5 billion isk pod looks like--when you have no idea what you're doing. But what do you expect? The poor fellow didn't have the Code to guide him.

  2. Look at all that highsec ore in Derp Fido's Providence. That's thousands of man-hours of toil right there. Only it wasn't. His corp, Dark Holes Imperium is a 5-bot Mackinaw operation based out of Balanaz, Khanid. Yet another example of a botting that CCP has been aware of for months without taking action.

    2. So Professor, to you this is elite PvP. This is also roleplaying. So that means that you role play a character that is ok with killing unarmed people, now think about that.

You can accept and play as a person who is actually perfectly fine and happy to promote killing unarmed people.

A sandbox game allows players to express who they are deep down inside but do not do so in a public setting for fear of reprisal.

That means you are in fact an actual person who is ok with killing unarmed people.

    2. Your right the Code always wins, but your in high sec and by the code you fail.

Remember all who hide in High sec are carebears. All who claim elite PVP while in high sec are carebears. All who live in high sec and never venture into low sec are carebears. Those who cannot live in low sec are carebears and those who do not fight in low sec are carebears.

The code of PVP is infallible and always wins.

  7. We did, we wrote a new code that explains that all who hide in High Sec are cowards and carebears.

    Remember the code always wins.
