Putting Highsec to the TEST

I received word from Agent Danktor of a successful campaign against Orca-equipped mining fleets operating illegally in New Order territory. At first, it may seem like a standard report. A glorious victory to be sure--one that would have been considered miraculous before the expansion of New Order gank fleets. But we in the New Order have become almost accustomed to such martial miracles.

When you look more closely, you can see that this is no ordinary report.

Agent Danktor is a member of Dreddit, the founding corp of TEST Alliance Please Ignore. Friends and enemies alike often think of the CODE. alliance as being synonymous with the New Order. It's convenient to review killboards and stats that way. However, the New Order and its Code are not and have never been restricted to one in-game alliance. Our Agents hail from all over EVE. Danktor was inspired to lead a TEST fleet into battle against the bot-aspirants. But would these nullsec-dwellers take to it?

...Only like ducks to water.

Before Danktor could finish saying the word "Code", a fleet of Catalysts had already descended upon an illegal Orca and made a terrific slaughter of it.

The killmail tells the tale: Not a single member of CODEdot was involved in the kill. On this day, Dreddit said "enough is enough". They took revenge against those who had wronged highsec by ignoring the Code.

With an abundance of Catalysts at their disposal, our heroes fanned out and seized every bot-aspirant they could find.

Some Skiff pilots think themselves better than the other miners, due to their higher EHP. Even if they are better than the untanked Hulk pilots of highsec, they're not better than the Code. They, too, must submit or perish.

Speaking of Hulk pilots, one from the Carebear Technologies corp lost a billion isk Hulk in the Tash-Murkon region. She never saw it coming.

The Hulk pilot wasn't alone in being caught by surprise. Those who watch local and only dock up when CODEdot pilots arrive are doomed to repeat their mistake.

Orcas continued to die. During this brief campaign of less than a day, 15 billion isk was vaporized by the Dreddit Catalysts. Needless to say, there were no rebels in sight, and no effort was made to disrupt the Orca ganks. They didn't have a clue it was happening. It's difficult enough to keep up with CODEdot's Agents' activities, much less the rest of EVE's.

Yes, nullsec powers like TEST Alliance Please Ignore have their share of Agents, too. Those who minimize the importance of the New Order and deny its influence would like to ignore such Agents' existence. Carebears can ignore them--at their own peril.

  3. For those of you who may or may not know, Gorila Vengaza's wife of 24 years has passed. Now, regardless of our differences in game, let us all have a moment of silence to reflect on our loved ones, to pray for Gorila and his family, and to show/pay our respects.

    1. Hi Butthurt. The news of Gorila's wife is very sad indeed. My prayers go out to her and to him. A lot of the agents are already aware. I myself have avoided making any comment on his blog because it degenerated into an argument and he's got enough on his plate already. He doesn't need more aggro. Whilst Eve players might be the bitterest enemies in the New Eden Universe, I would never wish ill on any player behind the keyboard. We are all united in our passions for Eve and I hope we all have only the best of wishes for any Eve player who undergoes real life traumas. I hope Gorila Vengaza is able to come to terms with his wife's passing with the minimum of pain, and that she flies amongst the starts with a smile on her face and warmth in her heart watching over her husband. I only wish I could do more to help.

    4. All Eve Online bullshit aside:

I heard about this earlier today and my thoughts and prayers are with the man behind the character we all know as Gorila Vengaza.

The words to try and describe the emotional distress one feels after losing not just a loved one, but a companion, a friend, a life-long partner, a lover, the person who keeps you accounted for and in check, the person you plan on spending the rest of your life with, grow old together and share stories of family and the 'good ole' days' and the bright future you helped establish with your wife/husband as your grandchildren run around... just don't give it justice.

It is the most excruciatingly painful experience to lose a loved one. And, if Gorila reads this I want you to know that you will get through this and stay strong and if there's anything we can do for you in-game, say the word.

I hope the very best for Gorila and his family. He was and still is one of the best "frienemies" I've ever had.

    5. 07 Gorila. Having lost friends and family myself, all I can say is time heals the wound, but it never goes away. Best wishes to you and yours.

    6. Hearing this news was just... depressing and my thoughts go out to him. The recent update he made in regards to memories of his wife literally made me cry and resulted in me needing some time away from the game just to process it.

We here at the CODE. alliance are kicking around some ideas for a in-game show of respect to this player, and if you have any ideas or simply want to take part in this event regardless of your corp, alliance, community, or whatever group you identify with - please contact me in game.

We're not sure what we are going to do yet, but it will be tasteful and hopefully show our feeling that at the end of the day - we are all just human beings behind a keyboard, and that the overwhelming majority of us are very decent human beings with a strong sense of empathy.

Keep me informed DJ. I would like to be a part of that if available. Gorila has been one of the most fun enemies the New Order has had, and I am extremely sorry to hear of his wife's passing and his departure from the game.

  9. A dangerous trend for all who defy the CODE. Even the shitiest nullsec corp - like mine - can lock down an entire constellation against bot aspirants.

    Hisec, your time has come.
