Christmas Miracle

One year ago, MinerBumping readers were introduced to a gentleman named johantttt. In a two-part series, johantttt revealed himself to be a fanatical opponent of the New Order.
johantttt > you dont gank beacuse concorde will kill you when you kill to many
johantttt > noovs
johantttt > noobs
johantttt > you just steal hard working ppls money
johantttt > whats the name of your top leader?
KrazyTaco > James 315
johantttt > the top leader off all this?
KrazyTaco > James founded the new order
johantttt > go and fak mine or something!
johantttt disagreed with the Code from top to bottom. He wouldn't show respect to our Agents. He wouldn't even buy a permit!

johantttt's bitter opposition and hatred of the Code seemed to know few bounds. Of course, he couldn't do anything to stop us. I'd almost forgotten about johantttt. But then:

Out of nowhere, johantttt sent me a cryptic--but apparently supportive--message. Not pictured: A full API key sent in a separate EVEmail.

A quick check of johantttt's profile suggested that his views about the Code had indeed evolved since our last encounter.

Those views, which johantttt fleshed out in another unsolicited EVEmail, were very different from those he voiced just twelve months earlier.

A few days later, yet another EVEmail from johantttt arrived in my inbox. His enthusiasm hadn't subsided in the least.

Inevitably, johantttt submitted an application to join CODE. and encourage his fellow miners to experience a similar change of heart. How can we explain these events? Why, it's a Christmas miracle, of course--and another day in highsec under New Order rule.

However...

It was not the only Christmas miracle this Christmas...

Next time: The most shocking MinerBumping episode yet!

  1. It looks like the Baby Jesus takes his marching orders from James 315!

Christmas Miracles happen because James 315 ordered them!!!!

    THE CODE ALWAYS WINS!!! ALWAYS!!!!

  2. You guys are really delusional...

  3. Could it possibly be that the Anti-Ganking channel's administrators decided, "Enough with the whining and the inactivity! We will now support the Code because we need a victory!"

Such Christmas miracles! So many hardened anti-New-Order bastions finally coming to the wisdom of James 315! What a truly miraculous Christmas!

  4. Getting Gorila to hijack the channel and delete the block list is a new low...even for CODE...and that's saying something. It's pretty pathetic to have absolutely no moral values or standards of common decency. Grow up.

    1. Do you deny, Veers Belvar, that the reorganization of the Anti-Ganker Channel's administration represents a major victory for the New Order? Let me put it in perspective:

If Minerbumping.com were to be taken over by a member of the Anti-Ganking contingent, as absurd as that notion is, that act would undeniably represent a major victory for the anti-gankers. What happened here is kind of like that, except, in reverse. The New Order won. So now are you going to cease your resistance and join the New Order?

    2. If AG folks took over the in game minerbumping channel it would be just as lame. Taking over this website would also be pathetic. These would be childish endeavors.

And how did the new order win? I continue to safely run incursions, L4s, etc.. and generate loads of isk in complete safety. The new order has done F all to change my gameplay. Seems like you guys just keep on losing. Time to disband, perhaps?

    3. The block list has been cleared? All my burned spy accounts have been unburned?! This really *is* a christmas miracle!

    4. Veers, so please tell me if I get you right. Taking over in-game channel is "childish", whereas running incursions and L4s isn't.

Do you imply that the later activities are actual grown-up business, well-respected everywhere?

Or can I suggest to you that both those things are purely in-game feats, proving that we're trading our time (and actually time of our families) for fun?

    5. Playing the game to induce rage and tears is childish. Playing the game to work together with other people to do PvE is not, and is a perfectly respectable form of leisure. Just because an activity is done in game, does not mean that you are not morally accountable for it.

    6. Ever heard about Sarcastaball, Veers? That's the game for you I guess.

    7. Veers, when will you understand, real miners care about the game. So enjoy the content that James brings to us all.
Only sad players, who don't want to enjoy real interactive game play, hate the new order.

Merry Christmas to all New Order supporters.

    8. "Real miners" want to mine in peace and accumulate wealth. If they were looking for content, they wouldn't be miners. Only trolls like "315 miners" who don't actually mine are looking for content and interactive gameplay.

      Delete
    9. And there you have it, folks, Veers Belvar, calling all Miners and Incursion runners soul-less anti-content wealth accumulators, Which is exactly what James 315 has been saying all along. We are glad you have come around to seeing our point of view Veers, as we have been saying all along:

      The Code ALWAYS wins!!! ALWAYS!!!!!!

      Delete
    10. Yeah, it all makes sense now.
Miner silently mining his asteroid, not participating in Eve's life in any way. No content. Boring landscape.

Miner's wreck at the belt, miner actively posting in AG channel, reading MinerBumping, invoking creative thinking to produce some new taunts. Lots of content, vivid gameplay.

CODE is truly moving force of the Eve.

      Delete
    11. Ehhh...pointing out that people do PvE to accumulate wealth and have fun means the code is winning? Strange...has anyone ever denied those are the reasons people do PvE? And we do have content...it just doesn't involve hurting other people. You can play the game and be a decent person, you cannot suicide gank and be a decent person.

      Delete
    12. Pray tell me what content creates AFK miner? What content do YOU create besides one induced by CODE?

      Delete
    13. Don't be a "flip-flopper" Veers, according to you, as you have very clearly stated above: "If miners were looking for content, they wouldn't be miners." You have admitted that PvE is inherently content-less, and damns people to mindless grinding, and you have, by corollary, said that content-providers are the only salvation for these poor wretches. By doing have implied that content providers, who CODE. represents, are the saviours of these souls, providing content where once was none. You have stated your identification with the ideals of the New Order, and you had better scramble to get your ideas in check.

Or you could just stop fighting here and now, do nothing, and we will consider you a New Order supporter from here on out.

      Delete
    14. I certainly create content. Working with others to run incursions is absolutely a form of content. It just isn't PvP pew pew content. And it's far from a mindless grind...there is risk, people blow up, contests, etc....Having a great time without CODE, thank you. You are welcome to disband and join us.

      Delete
    15. Can I see some content you've created please?

      Delete
    16. Sure. I've probably earned about 100 billion isk this year, and purchased a tremendous amount of deadspace equipment. That means someone had to go run those sites...and many of these folks probably did not survive the experience. I also participated in many, many incursion contests, creating entertainment and a good time for all. I also metagamed code on the eve forums and on this website, and demonstrated to many people just how evil of an organization code is, and why it should be promptly disbanded, and the leadership banned just like erotica1 and DJ were.

      Delete
    17. Discarding CODE-induced material (it belongs to CODE-created content section anyway since you were reactive and not proactive on that matter), we have you bragging about 100 bil isk you've made. How typical of carebear it is to measure everything in money.

      Delete
    18. Money is used to purchase goods which were acquired through dangerous activity. That is part and parcel of content creation. Every highsec purchase of goods is in effect a form of elite PvP.

      Delete
    19. What about production of goods? Is it also form of elite PvP?

      Delete
    20. Sure...as long as they end up entering the Eve economy, Wickard V. Fillburn notwithstanding (I happen to think it was wrongly decided).

      Delete
    21. Since asteroid mining leads to production of goods, can we consider it to be a special form of elite PvP?

      Delete
    22. Veers, I am a real miner/ miners.
But I have come to love the various styles of game play, including the new order.
No miner should expect a safe haven to mine in. Eves not a play ground to accumulate wealth, with no risk.
I am a RL player at the keyboard, who knows at any minute I may be fired at. And I am thus ready to accept the risk of mining. But at the same time have learned many aspects of eve that's allowed me to survive. If hs players can't adapt to survive, its not eves sandbox's that's at fault. Its the RL player.
And a RL player who can't adapt doesn't deserve to survive in the eve environment.
Thus why I have respect at what James and his knights bring to eve. They want RL players who interact with each other. Something I believe you don't grasp the idea of.

      Delete
    23. If those goods enter the market then absolutely. Code should praise miners as elite pvp players.

      Delete
    24. Veers, James is looking for players to have interactive fun in the EVE sandbox, be it pvpers, pve or even indy game style of play.
What the New order and many other games players don't respect, are those who don't understand what a sandbox MMO is. IE those who believe the game should allow players to play with no risk at all.
Every time any of my many account players undock, I respect that they may get popped and podded. That's what happens in EVE. If a player can't respect that, then EVEs not the game or them.

      Delete
    25. Thus, if CODE successfully dispatches Elite Miner PvPer, CODE is effectively better at PvP than miners are? Shouldn't we be praised by all community for "above Elite" PvP skills?

      Delete
    26. Beers Veldspar argues that only cooperative play is legitimate play. Competitive play (as found in PvP, basketball or tiddlywinks) is morally and ethically wrong and should be prohibited. Also, something about childish, indecent, idiots, blah blah blah.

    27. 315 Miners, adapt to my rules in real life or die...
Doesn't matter if there are other rules and laws if you don't follow my rules and adapt to them you don't deserve life at all...

    28. Veers, did your co-workiers give you your Xmas wedgie this year?

  5. Welcome to the warm embrace of the CODE. Another success, another person that realized that the CODE represents the last true sandbox and role playing experience in online gaming. Someone that finally gets it, and we're happy to have him along. Now he can enjoy Eve as it was intended- a role playing game where your destiny is up to you. There are no good guys, no bad guys- just those that play for fun, and those care bears that do not (but provide us with fun by blowing up for our entertainment).
Johanttt, I will look for you in game, and contract over some catalysts so you can spread the joy you have come to know, thru the sharing of anti-matter with other players.
Hail James 315, hail the sandbox.
