The Gamis Ice Thief, Part 2

Previously, on MinerBumping... Agent Kalorned got a bad feeling when he saw Skiff pilot Vipsla waltz into the Gamis ice anomaly with an Orca alt in tow. Vipsla turned out to be a belligerent Russian who articulated his refusal to buy a permit in the most pungent of ways. Kalorned used a combination of ganking and bumping to shut down Vipsla's mining operations for hours at a time.

For weeks, Vipsla refused to leave Gamis. He accepted the fact that Kalorned's presence made it impossible for him to mine for most of the day. Even after Kalorned's alt wardecced Vipsla's corp, the miner continued to bring his Skiff and Orca into the ice anomaly. Until, one day, the Orca was caught.

Kalorned's wardeccer alt tackled Vipsla's Orca alt. As the miner watched his ship's shields peel away, he ejected from the ship in disgust. Kalorned boarded the free Orca.

Immediately after the Orca was liberated, Kalorned received two payments of 10 million isk: One mining permit for Vipsla and one for his Orca alt. The miner had surrendered at last.

Vipsla was suddenly in a much more diplomatic mood than ever before. He initiated a private convo with Kalorned. As a gesture of good faith, the miner spoke English so Kalorned didn't need to use Google Translate. But just as Kalorned feared, Vipsla's good manners were aimed at getting his Orca back. He didn't really care about Kalorned's feelings or his Code.

When negotiating, it's important not to appear too desperate. Vipsla was practically tripping over himself in his rush to get an asking price for the Orca.

Vipsla didn't have the cash on hand, so he offered to buy the Orca with Helium Isotopes.

Kalorned valued the isotopes at approximately 630 million isk, more than enough to cover the price of the Orca. Our Agent was now ready to return the Orca, just as soon as he'd determined there weren't any more loose ends to tie up--while he still had Vipsla's attention.

Ah, yes. The logo copying issue. Now was an excellent time to clear that up. One more payment would do.

...I love that phrase.

Vipsla--now speaking through his Orca alt--grew increasingly alarmed. Kalorned had altered the deal.

Our Agent was willing to be flexible on the trademark infringement payment. Worryingly, the miner seemed to lack faith in Kalorned.

Vipsla began to panic. He was coming dangerously close to questioning Kalorned's integrity. Which was pretty rich, coming from a guy who'd been illegally mining in Gamis for weeks.

Now Vipsla claimed he was completely broke, and therefore unable to make any additional payments. But our Agent believed he was capable of so much more.

To be continued...

  3. Just wanted to generally thank you all for putting this website in public and maybe also share a few thoughts.

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." - Sun Tzu

Hard to imagine a better way to do that than by wading through this here troll habitat. It's fascinating really - the way impotent rage at a meaningless existence boils over into the virtual domineering of the defenseless. There are so many analogs with 1930s Germany that I feel it unnecessary to elaborate further on that point. Fortunately for decent humans everywhere, your actions (even taken in aggregate) fail to impact the real world in any meaningful way. I'll take it upon myself to show you compassion and pity in the future. Because from what I've seen of this site so far, you all clearly deserve, and dare I say, NEED it.

James 3:15 - "Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic."

Do none of you find it ironic that James315's own handle, the egotistically self-described "very important and well-loved member of the EVE community," makes reference to not only flawed, but rather evil wisdom? Again, I pity you for following this false prophet even through a virtual existence.

    4. Clearly you cannot see the bigger picture that that the Savior of Highsec has for the world of EVE. But that is not for you to know only the Savior. You must study his teaching more thoroughly and give yourself over to him.

    5. James 3:15 - Often misinterpreted by Space-Theologians in connection with our Beloved Leader.

Although verse 15 is singled out, being the sandwich-filler, it is virtually meaningless, as a sandwich, without its enclosing slices of bread, as here (from the translation used above):

'But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast in it or deny the truth. 15 Such "wisdom" does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice.' (my quotes, for clarity)

Jealousy? Selfish ambition? Sounds as if the writer were describing something readers of this blog will find very familiar; the Mining Carebear in all his glory.

Besides, James 3:14-16 doesn't have the same visual 'ring' to it...

  11. Ah yes, the tears of these salty highsec miners are epic. They flock here every day to cry about CODE, not realizing how entertaining that is for normal players.

I predict truck loads of salt in the comment sections alone. The more they post impotent rage and juvenile tears the stronger CODE becomes.

Let's face it, no one wants to completely rid EVE of the miner douchebag, they are waaaay to entertaining when posting as whiney anons here.

Without weepy crybears what would normal people shoot at in EVE? Remember the studies show that ganking these losers will help retain them longer so you can wring the most tears from their ignorant hides.

Let the slaughter continue, make EVE great again!

  12. Supah secret miner killing contestNovember 24, 2016 at 1:36 PM

    The Code always wins! Always!

There have been plenty of shitheel carebears come and go over the years, but the Code is stronger than ever.

Today starts the official miner killing holiday, from now to New Year's day the unofficial "kill-all-highsec-losers" competition is in effect.

Same rules and prizes as last year. If you need more information contact the same character.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, then you are on the wrong team, but don't worry, we will be seeing you in a highsec system soon.

Remember! Secrecy is paramount, no forum posts, no telling carebears about it. This event is invite only, if you think you should be involved but have not been contacted, that means you need a better killboard (full of highsec carebear kills) before we will contact you. This helps ensure no carebear infiltrations, and has worked well for a few years now, so nothing will change there.

Special prizes for the ganker/group that can produce another Kalynn before the end of contest!

Good luck! Let's make EVE a better place, one highsec shitter at a time.
