Blockbuster Videos

Today's a good day for those of you who like New Order media (which should be pretty much everyone)...

The roaring success of Sasha Nemtsov's video on The Common Bot-Aspirant demanded a sequel. Here it is:

You can't go wrong with Sasha--especially when you've got educational sights and sounds based on the epic Why They Hate the Code MinerBumping series.

The Code Is Forever series got spiced up with the addition of text-to-speech for all the carebear tears!

Elite PvP, elite tear collection, elite Gamis goodness!

The CODE always wins, always. Even when a gank goes wrong? Yup. Agent Zaenis Desef was on Twitch streaming some ganks when he met an astonishing Retriever pilot.

The Retriever pilot gave Zaenis a "gf". Despite lacking a permit, he seemed like a Gallant miner.

True to his word, Zaenis created a highlight video of the attempted gank:

Then someone in the Twitch chat suggested that Zaenis give the miner a free permit. Our Agent had a better idea: He gave the miner 10 million isk to spend however he pleased.

Wouldn't you know it? The miner spent the 10 million on a New Order mining permit. You can always tell a Gallant miner.

Check out the zaenisdesef Twitch channel for more Code goodness.

  1. Oh wow lol, you lot are still at this with the miners? Doesn't this ever get old? Especially when you push players away from EVE with these actions? This type of community is why I left EVE myself and won't touch it anymore. Oh well, to each his own I guess, just not for the miners!

    1. Our efforts are to educate the miners into being better players (and people) and to drive off the miserable, whinny, WoW players who can't survive, emotionally or competitively, in the dark, dangerous Eve universe.

So, as you can testify, its working.

    2. You left EVE, but still feel the irresistible urge to turn to a blog which is about as EVE-Centric as you can get, and to spend part of that glorious freedom of yours creating what has proved to be a damp squib of a comment.

Anyone who starts a sentence with 'Oh wow lol'....

And so you are here... why?

    5. I seen a friend on my steam playing EVE and I got curious to see if this was still going on. There is no harm in me checking this website out and leaving a comment. To me this philosophy you've all built to relentlessly attack miners is toxic and yes it drove me away. I was just sharing my feeling on this, as a former EVE player because it baffles me. Now look at these toxic comments in response to a simple harmless comment from me. Terrible community.

Zander had it just about summed up, yet still you fail to get the message, and instead wax defensive and hurt. You cannot expect to beard the lion in his lair and escape unharmed.

      O wow lol and goodbye.

    7. Calm Down Anonymous Miner. The only toxicity I see are the words of those who hide behind the cloak of anonymity. CODE adherents such as myself, Rob, and Bing have been nothing but civil.

Now I'll repeat the same argument that I'm making in the EVE Forums right now: EVE is a PVP game. PVP is defined as Player Versus Player. And if one cannot hack it, they should find a safe, cuddly game to mine in... like World of Warcraft.

I hear copper ore sells well on their auction house these days.

    8. Poor Rob. All those miners you've destroyed have made you such an angry soul.
Zander I have no problem with it being a PVP game. In fact I love hardcore PVP games, I loved Ultima Online, I love Mortal Online and Darkfall. I even loved EVE. PVP doesn't mean you have to be utter douchebags though. I don't like toxic players who hide behind this cloak called the "code" so they can justify being assholes to those who would rather just enjoy the game the way they want. The relentless, selfish attack on miners from this ideology that you spread is what makes you toxic. It spreads a horrible attitude among those players like yourself that get kicks out of this. That really does no good for the game, and even drives players away from the game. Good job my friends, you are making the game such a great place! Hah, I wish. The reality is you make the community worse, and it seems you will continue to do so. These actions do not make a better player, nor does it make a better community. It tears down a community, and community is half the game. Too bad you lot have your claws dug in so deep, that's unfortunate for EVE. You are right though, why am I here for a game I no longer play? I guess I'll be on my way.

    9. So when an ex EvE player feels the need for nostalgia, he visits his past comrades, chat about glorious battles or machiavellian trickery. And here is you, basing the Code on Minerbumping. Feels you have lost EvE, you couldn't even get past the first boss. And apparently it still haunts you. Git gud!

  3. "Oh wow lol"

Whenever an article is featured about new capsuleers involved in ganking, we see an uptick in angry comments here from the carebears and antis. They realize by now that there is no hope of stopping ganking, but many of them cling to a hope that ganking will eventually die out. Seeing the next generation being forged like this triggers them immensely.

  4. Wow antigankers failing on live stream and recorded on youtube. What a time to be alive!!!1

  5. The fit from the video was:

A Small Shield Booster II in the mid slot.
A Damage Control II and 2x Reinforced Bulkheads II in the Low Slots.
3x Transverse Bulkhead IIs in the Rig Slots.

Minerbumping has featured an amazingly tough retriever fit. (Still just a retriever, though.) I hope I'm not the only person taking notes.

You must be willing to save yourself if you don't want to be the victim every time. The CODE always wins because it is defined that if you lose, they win. If you win, then you learned to protect yourself and they win. The question you ask yourself is which of the two do you prefer?

    1. In PYFA, this retriever comes out at 27.2k EHP (with all skills at V).

It's clear from the circumstances that this player had every intention of thwarting rightful justice and, incidentally, of playing EVE as if it were a single-player experience instead of mining in a social group. This is not how we envisage Highsec.

Rather, we would like to see mining (if it must be done at all) accomplished by pilots in structured and comprehensively fitted out fleets, including DPS, coming together for perhaps an hour a day and notifying the New Order of their intention to visit the belts or anomalies and providing information about the intended location and composition of their op.

I think that's a fair compromise. But I did titter a bit (with the Twitch Streamer I should add), because - I've been there too!

  6. As one of these "non compliant miners" (a bag habit I have when I only have a few hours before work), I actually agree with some of this stuff. See popping the hurricane. Holy hell. Good on you guys, you made eve one less cancerous fit better.
