Today's post is going to be a little unusual, but there's nothing wrong with that, is there?
Pouring out 315 million isk for our fallen brothers is a classy move. It didn't bring us to the next billion isk mark in terms of New Order stock, but still. Respect.
On a completely unrelated note, I received a message from Lahnius about his latest video. Here's how he described his vision (lightly edited for readability):
"This video I'm going to link strays from hardcore ganking. It's a story about a ganker and his target. Yet they are in love and he can't hurt her, so they play cat and mouse in space as they hide their love. It's a cross-over video with some Second Life video for the band shots and all EVE for the cat-and-mouse "sharing space" sequences. This video means a lot to me and my wife and has had some pretty cool EVEmail replies about it.
"I hope you like it. Remember, it's about love and hiding that love from CODE. I understand that can be a compromise of interests but it's still beautiful, IMHO."
Oh boy, this is going to be a controversial one. The video is unorthodox, but honest. Emotions can inspire people to do great things, but they can also lead us astray. It's a good thing we have the Code. A fuller, deeper understanding of the Code can resolve--quite cleanly, in fact--seemingly difficult questions like, "What if my spouse doesn't own a mining permit?"
The thing to realize here is that ganking someone needn't be seen as hurtful. In fact, a gank can be an act of love--and usually is. If someone you love is mining in highsec, blow up their ship.
This next video is also unusual, but for different reasons:
Yes, it's a trailer. Agents Kalorned and TheInternet TweepsOnline TheInternet have been up to their elbows dealing with a large group of miners and mission runners. What will the outcome be? We must wait and see.
