Rusell's Revenge, Part 4

Previously, on MinerBumping... Rusell's fall from grace was quite a sight to behold. But he wouldn't stay down for long. Rusell clawed his way back up to the top of the Anti-Ganking hierarchy and used the channel to broadcast long, boring speeches about himself.

To Rusell's frustration, he no longer found his ideas going unopposed. He had to deal with critics.

As Rusell feared, when a single person spoke against him, it emboldened others to speak up, too. Before long, the Anti-Ganking channel would be filled with pro-PvP, pro-content players. If Rusell didn't put a stop to it, that is.

Rusell spoke movingly about the plight of freighter owners who PLEXed or grinded their way to spacebucks, only to have all of their stuff destroyed by gankers.

...Hypothetically speaking, of course.

And it wasn't just that the gankers were engaging in spaceship combat in a spaceship combat game. It was worse than that. The gankers were breaking the rules by taking advantage of exploits.

In the past, accusing the New Order of breaking the EULA would inspire the acquiescent silence of Rusell's fellow carebears. Things had changed. The rebels demanded to know about specific exploits being used by the gankers.

Rusell respectfully disagreed with the notion that doing something he doesn't like isn't the same as exploiting.

Rusell repeatedly used the word "exploit", hoping to numb his valued colleagues into submission. But then the conversation took an unexpected turn--one that Rusell wasn't prepared for.

Several Anti-Gankers encouraged Rusell to move out to Provi Bloc territory in nullsec. Once there, Rusell could indulge in PvE without having to worry about the mighty CODE. alliance. Rusell balked. They wanted him to leave highsec?

Rusell demurred. One by one, Rusell's polite excuses for not leaving highsec were shot down by the other Anti-Gankers.

To put it mildly, Rusell was reluctant to go to Providence. But the Anti-Gankers grew increasingly enthusiastic about their idea. If Rusell went to nullsec, maybe they wouldn't need to hear any more of his speeches.

Even Sarah Flynt gently nudged Rusell out the door, sending him a link to a Provi Bloc FAQ.

The "Rusell should leave highsec" chorus grew ever louder. Anti-Ganking's would-be patriarch was now thoroughly embarrassed.

Rusell has been playing EVE since 2007. Despite his nearly 10 years in the game, he still had much to learn before he was ready to go to nullsec. After all, highsec is where newbies stay while they learn the game.

Rusell finally put an end to all of the Provi Bloc chatter. Dismissing the idea, Rusell artfully changed the subject by accusing Thrasher gankers of using exploits. There would be no early retirement for Rusell, no exiling him to a cushy job in nullsec. Rusell would remain exactly where he wanted to be: Highsec. And he would stay there, as a leader of the Anti-Ganking movement, for as long as it took. One day he would see the total annihilation of the New Order and its Code. One day.

  1. Wow, Rusell is bad. Just overall no good at all.

His constant crying should be classified as harassment, he's bringing everyone down with just his tears.

    1. If that's harassment then code would be finished.

    2. That was Russell's plan all along, to drown out all the gankers with his tears.

Too bad his tears are so delectable and in such high demand, otherwise he nay have cried his way to victory.

ALL carebears should leave highsec, there's nothing but misery and death waiting for you there.

  2. OK, sorry, this is just sad, Russell has no fricken clue, he needs someone to join the channel and let all of those morons know how to actual fight against the code. Then maybe everyone can have a real war to be proud of.

  3. Rusell is an A class shitter. Even with all the encouragement I've given him everytime I've seen him, he still doesn't want to improve himself..

    2. While Russell's claims that some mechanics of EvE are exploits is dead wrong, he is, like myself, a player who is happy with hisec. That is fine. Don't do anything in the game you are not ready for, nor will ever be ready for. EvE is a sandbox. Go make your own fun on your terms.

    3. Ehnea if you are happy why don't you have a subscription?

It's hard to believe anything you say when you won't even try to contribute.

You are nothing like Rusell, at least he tried. You're just a free account abusing leech.

  4. Rusell prefers to live in the past, clinging to his comforting delusions. After 10+ years he still is still stuck at the remedial stage of believing that HS is supposed to be a safe place. He doesn't feel ready to advance to life in NS despite having loads of experience and plenty of connections. His career as an ag leader ended with a whimper.

    1. He has decided to engage in emergent gameplay, he is just doing a poor job of it. You cant see that? And you call yourself a professor.

    2. I like to cling to comfortable areas too. Been mining hi sec for 12 years never been successfully ganked by anyone, for me there is no CODE.

  5. How do you help someone who refuses to take good advice?

Rusell is a perfect example of the adage "EVE's not for everyone".

He should be encouraged to leave the game, not just hisec, for his own well-being.

Another old saying was "EVE is hard", but in reality EVE is easier than ever before, and still Rusell would rather cry than adapt. It's time for people like Rusell to realize that if they can't make it now, they will never be right for EVE.

ag needs to find better quality members. How are we supposed to take anyone in that group serious? No one has any respect for shitters like that.

At what point does ag finally ban Rusell from their chan? They will ban a "CODE alt" in a second for trying to pass on good advice, but they let Rusell stay and shit it up for literally years.

    ag deserves Rus.

  6. Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices
