Previously, on MinerBumping... Agent Alt 00 acted with integrity and compassion in Genesis. Yet there were those who opposed her--including William Rageclaw, whose involuntary jaunt to nullsec resulted in the destruction of his Orca. William demanded satisfaction, and he aimed to get it in his own in-game channel.
William warned Alt 00 not to preach, but she couldn't help but speak the truth.
Under ordinary circumstances, our Agent would be able to speak freely. But these weren't ordinary circumstances: William ruled his channel with an iron fist.
In recent weeks, MinerBumping has seen its comments section balloon with spam. It all began with William's vendetta--a quest for vengeance against whoever it was who muted him in the in-game MinerBumping channel.
In spite of everything, William considered himself an Agent of the New Order. He felt that his contributions to the cause had been disrespected--especially by the anonymous channel operator who had muted him.
William might have gone his entire life without ever knowing who had muted him. But he caught a lucky break: Alt 00 was willing to talk, on the record.
For a price.
Agent Lewak was interested in the truth as well. He offered his services as an impartial facilitator.
Tensions were high. Lewak hoped that he could successfully coordinate with William and Alt 00 to arrange the proposed transaction. But it was equally likely that the whole deal would fall apart. In that event, the identity of William's persecutor would remain a mystery.
At length, William agreed to unblock Alt 00. However, she was under strict instructions not to preach unless it was new material.
Alt 00 bolted out of the gate like a woman on a mission.
Our Agent was eager to speak with William on voice comms and give a candid interview. But there was still the matter of her fee.
William was torn. He was not accustomed to paying people for intel. On the other hand, getting access to Alt 00's information would be a huge deal.
A choice lay in front of William. It was his to make--and his alone.
William chose. As to whether his decision was the right one, only time would tell.
To be continued...
