New Order Bathroom Protocol Supplemental

One of the most frequently quoted posts in MinerBumping history is the New Order Bathroom Protocol. Contrary to carebear spin, this policy doesn't restrict the rights of miners; it expands them. Long story short, miners are permitted to leave their barges in an asteroid belt or ice anomaly and go AFK to use the bathroom. If they get permission from an Agent.

If.

An anonymous commenter on a recent post came up with a fine suggestion for improving highsec miner bathroom conduct--to the miner's benefit as well as everyone else's. It's hard to argue with good hygiene, though I wouldn't be surprised to see the Anti-Ganking crowd come out against washing one's hands.

The following additional rules apply to all highsec miners who go AFK to use the bathroom:

1. Miners must thoroughly wash both of their hands with soap and water immediately after using the bathroom (and before returning to their keyboard).

2. When an Agent asks a miner whether he washed his hands, the miner must answer the question truthfully.

3. When an Agent asks a miner whether he washed his hands, the miner isn't allowed to act all offended.

The New Order continues to make life better for all in highsec!

  2. Well it is good to get some clarification...
Of course I cannot remember a miner asking permission.... so whether or not he washes his hands becomes a moot point (except for the people he shares the keyboard with / cooks for etc)

  3. OH i love these guys, and this post is a great example why.
I loled the whole time reading it.

I wouldn't be surprised if James' last name was Brovlovski. He's a master.

  4. I don't know but mining seems a dirty job, so in my opinion it's better for miners to wash their hands before and after.
    Just my 2 eurocents.

  5. I got news for you. Anyone that is too lazy to "dock up" is certainly too lazy to wash their hands.

  6. Every time I think it's safe to drink coffee (or anything) while reading minerbumping, The Saviour of High-Sec comes out with another post like this! Too bad I can't get reimbursement from the NO treasury for the keyboards I have ruined. Having a waterproof keyboard should be a requirement for reading mb.com

  7. If there's one thing I've observed, it's that miners need the basics spelled out for them in minute detail. I applaud this clarification.

    1. Is that because of Minerhumping, or Minerdumping

  9. To further clarify, agents don't need to wash their hands because we've mastered the art of not pissing on our hands.

Another example of the separation of classes between agent and miner.

  10. This is yet another example of James making the highsec world even better for miners.

  11. We need to ensure they wash behind their ears, too.
Plaque buildup in the ears is a serious problem for miners.

  13. I love you guys, I come here to read just got the laughs. Seriously permits are only 10 mill isk. What is the problem of docking up if you have to leave the comp, it's not that hard to do. How hard is it to actually talk in local to verify your at the comp. I can't stand botters myself so when CODE catches them I laugh my but off. I have little to no trouble with them, never have.
