Previously, on MinerBumping... Agent DJentropy Ovaert repeatedly killed a stubborn miner in the Nakugard system. After proclaiming the Code in local, DJentropy was stunned to witness another Nakugard miner, Will55jr1, respond with all manner of heresies.
Before the Saviour of Highsec himself gets involved with such a matter, there are a lot of steps to be taken. Since Will55jr1 was a member of Dark Star Militia Reserves, DJentropy contacted the corp's CEO, Bobbi LeStrange.
The EVEmail was a generous courtesy--so typical of the New Order--yet it also carried a warning. If Bobbi didn't set things right, DJentropy would get a senior Agent involved.
Corp members sometimes cling to a misguided loyalty toward one another. This can interfere with their dedication to the Code. DJentropy made sure to include ample evidence so the CEO wouldn't be tempted to write off the complaint.
As far as DJentropy was concerned, the ball was in Bobbi's court. Either Will55jr1 would be instructed by his CEO to comply with the Code... or the other thing would happen.
Several minutes later, Agent Motoko Nishizawa spoke with Will55jr1. The carebear was in luck: Motoko was willing to give him a pass, as long as Will made sure everyone in the corp bought a mining permit.
Finally, the CEO replied. Despite our heroes' soft, reasonable approach, the carebear wanted to play hardball. Bobbi also offered a warning of her own: Will had combat ships that would make everyone's eyes melt.
Will's killboard, which reported a greater than 1% pilot efficiency rating, confirmed his elite PvP reputation.
In the midst of the peace talks, DJentropy filed an additional report on Will, telling of further violations of the Code.
...But Bobbi was in no mood to read such reports. Her corp would never bend to the likes of the New Order.
Peaceful options were rapidly exhausted. Motoko had no choice but to recommend that Agent Cannibal Kane, an enthusiastic wardeccer, be given jurisdiction over the matter.
Bobbi was unconcerned. She adamantly opposed the New Order and its Code. No mining permits would be purchased, and Will would not be penalized in any way.
But wardecs have a way of opening a carebear's mind.
To be continued...
