CODEdot Alliance Logo Submissions

It's art season in the New Order! A few days ago, I sent out an open invitation for anyone with artistic ambitions to try their hand at designing the CODEdot Alliance Logo. Click over to that post for more details. Long story short, create a 512x512 image based on my face--the face that saved highsec--and upload it to Imgur. Then EVEmail me the link.

The contest is still open. Let's take a look at the submissions we've received thus far:

From AeleDeux, a take on the familiar "HOPE" poster. Does anyone inspire more hope than I do? If so, I'd love to meet 'em.

From Bait'er De'Outlier, an almost angelic vision of my face. I imagine this is the last thing a carebear sees before he biomasses his mining character.

From Gurty Jones, a stylized impression of highsec's Saviour, champion of the working classes (and all the other classes, too--a rare combination!).

Gurty translated the poster into multiple color schemes. You can see the full-size version of them all at the Imgur Link above.

(Oh, and if you're wondering why the word "ALWAYS" appears in Gurty's posters... Just think about it for a minute.)

Congratulations to all of these artists on their wonderful work. Want to throw your own design into the mix? Don't be shy. This is your chance to make New Order history.

If he didn't have followers he wouldn't be a leader, now would he? Then highsec would be in an even worse state than it currently is.

  4. Oh maaaannnn. I have to throw in behind Gurty Jones' verion. The "Hope" poster meme feels a little played out. The abstracted blocky version really punches home the message that the New Order isn't going anywhere. That The Code is the foundation of the new hisec.

    1. Also the "Hope" poster's color scheme may make it difficult to recognize when it is reduced in size.

  10. If you have to make up laws to hurt a group of people just to prove your morals and faith, then you have no true morals and faith to prove.

    1. @Anon3:56

As long as civilizations have existed, they have made laws to hurt those that offended the prevailing civilization's "morals and faith." It can be argued that this is the very reason why we have civilizations in the first place. Certainly you are not calling "all civilizations" lacking "morals and faith," because then we would have to brand you as an anarchist and exclude you from the conversation, as your opinion would cease to have any rational value.

    On the contrary to your statement;

This place is the premier location to come to brag about just how good New Order Agents are at consensual Player versus Player combat. Every day, we score more victories. And I mean, just recently, we have passed ten TRILLION isk in ships damaged! If that's not cause for bragging, well then I don't know what is!

What this is not the place for is "carebear tears." This is a place for congratulating New Order Agents on a job well done. And with that said, Congratulations to every member of the New Order, and special congratulations to Supreme Protector and Saviour of Highsec, James 315!!!

    2. Probably hundreds of trillions. No, no, millions of trillions! Infinity trillions!

Of course he can't show you his killboard, because, uh....look over there!

P.S.: it's totally real though. People wouldn't lie about themselves anonymously on the internet, no siree.

    7. nope not green all the way of course not, but it does have a lot less red than the "criminal " killboard you seem so proud of (oh yeah because concord doesn't kill me for what i do does it ) ;)

      Delete
    8. no nullsec alts either sorry to break your stereotype.(unlike you i don't need alts to skulk into a system to find me an easy target like you do ) :)

    9. Another "Waaah it's not 'real' pvp" poster.

      Delete
    10. Its called a scout. All PVP fleets have them. The job of a scout in any fleet is (And get ready for this I'm about to blow your mind for sure) find targets and identify threats/Danger.

If you get shot doing something and you don't have a scout (Either your alt, or a corpmate/friend) that is your fault and no one else's. If you can't take simple steps to keep you 'safe' like using D-scan, watching local, using a scout, ect you get no sympathy from me when you lose your fail fit retriever.

      Delete
    11. yes alana to go along with your "waaah it is "real" pvp" because we say so posts.

    12. Who's more qualified to make judgements about what PvP actually is? The killers, or the dead?

Well, to tell you the truth, neither of our opinions matter on the subject. In times like this, we have to ask: "What does James 315 think?"
Luckily for us, the answer is quite clear. To James 315, it is the "killers" who are clearly responsible for defining what PvP is, secondary only to the direct opinion of the Saviour Himself.

This is necessary, because the angry dead carebear that can't accept its loss will attempt to define PvP as anything to deny that it was killed fairly and squarely, within the confines of game mechanics.

    13. @ asia (mings sidekick)

oohh a "scout" so does this "scout" have -10 sec status too? or is it in an npc corp and has good standing with everyone? so it can easily go anywhere and take it's time to find the( heavily armed barge or freighter you seek) i wonder ?????

and this "scout " is never used to distract concord of course, is it? because who your "scouting " for is perfectly legal and they will most definately not be blown up for the "criminal" act they are about to commit will they ?

what they do is not "scouting" thats an honorable job in any fleet. what you do is aiding and abetting "criminals" because they can't do it themselves before they run out of time and die.

      Delete
    14. "Who's more qualified to make judgements about what PvP actually is?

easy answer ......anyone who is not in code.

      Delete
    15. @Anon9:36
Please. Such tears decrying the acts of so-called "criminals" are not necessary. "Criminals," such as miners, are the ones who are regularly banned, and ganked, for their illegal behavior. Non-illegal behavior, such as the "criminal" behavior you reference, isn't really criminal, because nobody gets banned. What does happen is that individuals such as you cry about it, we are entertained, EVE keeps turning, Minerbumping keeps churning, and The New Order keeps on winning.

      @Anon9:42
You clearly illustrate my point. The rabid carebear is willing to define PvP as anything other than what it is to deny the truth. You are precisely the kind of "Butcher of Truth" that the New Order fights against.

    18. hmmm according to ming "non-illegal" behaviour gets you killed by the police (concord) i always thought you had to have commited a crime for concord to kill you?? (oh yeah but ming says they are not the "real " police in new eden i forgot)
it's the criminals who are the "real " police according to ming.

My scout is actually in a corp, all be it a 1 man corp. It's not hard to figure out who my scout is,

And no, its not always safe either. I actually dec'd a corp, because 3 of their members were running their mouths more then I liked and I gave them the opportunity to back their mouths up with action.

Funny thing is, the 3 loud mouths haven't logged in all week. I'm always mystified how people run their mouths "not a fair fight" "meet me at the sun", blah, blah, blah, but when you dec them they run like the cowards they really are >.>

According to their claims, they "lived in null sec and were only protecting their friends in High sec". I wanted to witness their PVP power they were talking about. Sadly they wussed out....

      Delete
    24. So then they did a code by chickening out, denying everything?

      Delete
    25. I don't know about anyone else, but I personally have yet to back down to a fight, and I don't plan on doing so anytime soon. Because really who cares if I lose a Low sec duel or lose my ship in a roaming fleet.

This game is all about having fun, and I have fun blowing people up and getting blown up, win or lose.

      Delete
    26. asia firstly i have to say you that i detest what you and code does in high sec, always will.because i choose to play a different way to you.

having said that i live in null and just like you i do not back down from a fight, in fact only a couple of days ago i lost a purifier because i happened to get caught warping to a gate the same time as an enemy interceptor gang needless to say they knew i was there so waited and actually locked me before i could recloak ......it should maybe have annoyed me .....instead i was laughing my ass off as i burned because thats eve.
so i know why you play because my reasons are almost the same i just choose to have genuinely "consensual" pvp as opposed to non consensual which i have always though a one sided boring affair.
so even though i may give you guys the occasional hard time on this blog it does not mean i harbor any genuine bad feelings towards you as i don't it's just another form of pvp i guess .....have fun ....fly safe/dangerous :)

On the contrary, the records indeed show that I have contributed 11 billion isk to those causes.

If we consider that, we, as an Order, have raised a little bit more than 600 billion in isk, and we have done ten trillion isk in damages as a result, that means for every isk we have spent, we have done 16.67 isk in damage.

Now consider that I have donated 11 billion isk to the New Order.
This means that I am personally responsible for, get ready for it:

One Hundred eighty-three billion three hundred seventy million isk worth of damage.

Granted that's only like 1.8% of all the isk damage that has been inflicted, as they say in the car industry, it only takes 5% of Volvo, and you're set for life.

Having achieved such a great accomplishment, I can now happily retire from PvP, and focus all of my time preaching about the Code and telling miners what they can and cannot do.

    ReplyDelete
  17. and once again the "mouthpiece " is on the spin.
boasting about doing nothing again , you gave isk (which apparently code doesn't care about because they are all about the "emergent gameplay" not the isk ?? )
but because you made a "donation " isk matters all of a sudden.
your "wholesale slaughter" amounts to approximately.... nothing.
nice go at making something from nothing though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Miner, calm down.

If you haven't noticed, there is a regular article that runs detailing and celebrating the isk that has been donated to the New Order. And of course we care about isk. But only for purposes of taking away your isk. You are correct in that the New Order does not require ISK to run, but having isk is so much better than not having it. I wish the carebear could see the same Truths that only come to followers of James 315, but alas, it seems like people like you are forever doomed to be shut out of the party due to your own willful ignorance. Tsk tsk.

    ReplyDelete
  19. if my "ignorance" keeps me out of code then praise be to ignorance. (i'm a happy man)
