Highsec Miner Grab Bag #88

An EVEmail like that can only mean one thing... It's time for yet another edition of the Highsec Miner Grab Bag!

Another reason ignorance of the Code is no excuse: Miners believe what they want to believe. When told of the Code, how many miners say, "Oh, in that case, here's your 10 mil"?

Instead, they usually justify their original resistance with some new excuse.

The Quine must have sent this EVEmail to Agent Sophia Soprano by mistake; our Agents are model citizens of highsec.

Chupa Onil threatened to cut off Tisiphone Dira's ear. In fairness, there was probably something lost in translation, as is often the case when Russian miners send messages to our Agents. But I'm not sure why Russian EVEmails always gets mistranslated into something violent.

Orca pilot BELLZYBUB was totally unimpressed when he found himself bumped away from the gate by Agent Spryt3. He felt he was in no danger at all.

BELLZYBUB noticed that there were very few flashy reds in local. In fact, he only saw one. What possible difference could one ganker make?

Oops! He forgot about hyperdunkers.

I'm the Saviour of Highsec. Always nice to meet a fellow EVE player.

There is so much misinformation out there about bumping mechanics. You'd think freighter pilots would've learned something from the debate about miner bumping.

How many freighters must the New Order destroy? As many as it takes. The question, carebears, is how many freighters must you lose?

On occasion, a miner will send multiple EVEmails without actually waiting to receive a reply from our Agent...

All this over a Retriever? I'd hate to see what a miner would say if he lost a Venture.

An Australian miner protested against the Code, drawing a comparison to the Eureka Stockade instead of something about Hitler or ISIS. Points for creativity. But it almost makes me wonder why this is the first time a miner tried invoking something from history that involved actual miners.

Despite only being three weeks into the game, Valerian Valtos had already heard plenty of stories about the Code. (So much for all those 5-year veterans who claim ignorance!) The experience renewed Valerian's interest in the game. More anecdotal evidence to support CCP's study about ganking improving player retention. The New Order is really extending EVE's lifespan.

  2. "The New Order is really extending EVE's lifespan."

Indeed, because of the New Order, the game is slowly bleeding, instead of shuttering the servers months ago.

    1. Oh, you are mistaken. I don't play Eve.

It's much more fun to read about than it is to play.

  3. I just saw Viktor Vegas on an MB article whining to loyalanon about how he will be banned for ganking his freighter. Life is complete.

    1. And here we have another asshat who has actually bit the dust by getting permanently banned from the game for griefing other players. Enjoying the ban? Here's a little salt for that wound of yours.

This is another quality trollific post from your friends at Carebears United.

We are many. We are strong. The code will fall. The code will fail. A free highsec is worth fighting for. Saving highsec from the savior of highsec, one carebear at a time.

  4. Well, that Bourne Tolead guy that you people ganked is really pissed off. So much so, that he found his way to his bio and wrote quite a piece about Jimmy the faggot 315 and his anal munching code bots. Copied and pasted here for your convenience:

"Bourne Tolead aspires to freedom within our Universe and has no time for Slavers , Thugs and Extortionists. Freedom does not come without cost or sacrifice so long as their are selfish , selfindulgent and corrupt individuals running through the universe perverting and destroying everything they touch.
New players come into this game with some expectation that the majority of players will be fair and conscionable to give a "fair go" to those who are just learning to walk. there are some individuals such as "James 315" and his host of lobotomised moronic bots who think they can trample on the rights of others running an extortion racket which totally ruins the aspect of the game for Newbies.
I didnt start this game to bend my knee to these sick individuals.
If I choose to spend hours within the game aquiring a miner I dont expect that hard earned assett to be destroyed by somebody without even a warning.
James 315 and his bots are bullies taking game satisfaction from others. FU J315"

If he decides to quit the game because of it, that's one more sub that bites the dust which denies CCP a paying customer.

  5. Where IS bm? He still hasn't explained to me why people who sub with cash are better than those who buy PLEX with ISK.

If it's really as obvious as he says it is, Idk why he wouldn't just spell it out for me... I'm really dying to hear it...

Maybe he figured it out and is too ashamed of his previous posts to speak about it further... That's what I would do if I made a fool out of myself and couldn't delete the comments.

    1. Because the people who buy PLEX in-game for ISK are not legitimate players because they are leeches. Granted, CCP does get the money when the PLEX is sold to a player, but then to have a player buy a plex to plex their account where they got the funds to do so from attacking other players is distasteful and dishonorable. Since code agents are not legitimate pirates, this makes them scum. Now I've spelled it out like you requested. Further inquiries will be ignored.

Galaxy Pig, now you should feel honored that I found your picture and decided to share it here with all your friends.

    2. Oh, alright, no concrete difference, you just find it distasteful. Arbitrary and strange, but fair enough. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Ya know, I went to Fanfest 2012 and my RL portrait IS in fact on the internet with my character name and a short interview. Enjoy!

    1. So butthurtminer is fueling the death of hisec miner-bots with all his rage and impotent threats? Good deal! It is good to know that the nasty, simple minded, faggy little pedobears are contributing to the very enforcement actions that make them squeal so loudly.
A free hisec is worth fighting for! A hisec free of nasty little crybears! One butthurt pedobear at a time!
