The Lost Legion, Part 1

One thing I've noticed since the New Order-inspired removal of infinite ice: Ice miners are much more antsy when they get bumped. I suppose mining a limited resource isn't as relaxing as mining never-ending ice AFK.

While strolling through an ice anomaly, I came across an Orca pilot named Aliosis II. He was accompanied by a handful of miners, none of whom owned permits to mine in my territory.

I did a routine bot check on one of the miners. Aliosis spoke up. I'll be honest, I don't like it when Orca pilots speak on behalf of their miners, even if they're all alts.

I prefer to do my job in a leisurely manner. I set my own pace; it's one of the benefits of being my own boss. But Aliosis began to exhibit signs of that antsiness I mentioned earlier.

After removing one of his alts from mining range, I resumed my interview with him. Like a negotiation, it's best to do these things from a position of strength.

Barely a minute after first contact, Aliosis's saber was rattling like an old engine. I yawned, expecting another idle threat.

To my great surprise, he spent the 50 million isk needed to make good on his threats. The impudence!

I noticed something strange, however: Aliosis wasn't even a member of the corp that wardecced me.

My investigation revealed that Aliosis II was a member of Black Legion. alliance. Led by Elo Knight, Black Legion is a powerful nullsec entity known for its elite PvP. Early in the CFC's war against TEST, BL proved such a nuisance that CFC was compelled to buy them off. Now the Goons pay BL to fight TEST. So what were they doing in a highsec ice anomaly?

I demanded an explanation. We've all been told by the carebears that it's safer to mine in nullsec than highsec. If that's true, then a BL miner had no business here. Was BL planning an invasion of New Order space?

Aliosis continued to behave suspiciously. He insisted that it made perfect sense for a member of a nullsec alliance to mine ice in highsec.

For once, a miner actually did have "powerful friends in nullsec". He expressed total confidence in his ability to destroy my Invincible Stabber. Was this only the first wave of a vast invasion force? Were the New Order's days numbered?

To be continued...

It's a game mechanic requested by carebears and granted by CCP; funny how carebears like you forgot this. As for James to be the most epic troll in a troll game it's not an easy feat but i am not sure you can understand this.

    2. I didn't ask for it, thats for sure Kazacy.

So what if James can hide though? Alot of you shareholders are in deep shit given that all the Black Legion has to do is look your characters up using the shareholder list and they have a list of people and corps to blow the crap out of.

Over a year ago i stopped to play eve, so i am fine, but the most important thing if you have a two (preferably more) braincells no one in hisec/lowsec/nullsec/wh cannot touch you including war, ganking, scamming and so on. Because of the countless carebears petitions eve at the moment it's way too safe and this was the last straw for me.

    4. Mercenary griefing alliance .......... lol. There is no such thing as a griefer especially in eve; only stupid people who take the game too "serious". As for the null have you ever tried to afk cloak in a nullbear system? You will have alotta of fun believe me.

And in the end i was a big noob in eve and i am first to admit this but oh boy i have alot of fun at the expanse of people like you :D

    5. I am just repeating what the alliance call themselves. THEY'RE the ones who call themselves griefers...hell, my corp CEO conciders us wardec griefers and mercs too.

And I do know what you mean. One of my small jobs in my corp is to collect on kill rights which involves sitting in cloak and giving KR ship pilots a heart attack.

As for doing that in Nullsec. I don't think so. At the moment, stealth bombers are pretty expensive to outfit.

Please define expensive because you won't need more then t2/best named. Also why to limit to stealth bombers? Use cloakie recons they are way better than sb; rapier for null and prober pilgrim for wh.

      Delete
    7. I'd fly recons or black ops if I could...Their skills are on my to-train list.

which recon/black ops do you recommend?

      Delete
    8. My favourite was a prober pilgrim very good in wh/low to bust on the ppl who run misions/plexes. Rapier is very good as a scout/prober/tackler; in a good gang it's very useful. Black ops i never flyed. Also for the recon to be a prober you really need recon lvl5 :(

    9. Stealth bombers are cheap as hell to fit. Also, is UPS even a thing anymore? Last I remember, that alliance closed quite some time ago.

Either way, best cloakie camper is any of em with a covert cyno fit, and alts in a few BLOPS waiting a few jumps away. My preference is towards the Falcon.

If i remember correctly PvP means Player(s) vs Player(s) and this is a multiplayer game. The best prize you can get in this is to annoy the other guy and trolling it's the best way to do this. Running away it's completely irrelevant because you get what you really want: tears or whatever you name it.

  5. I've read updates from CFC, TEST, and N3 the past few days and they are all about the isk. In isk terms, James is a master at PvP inficting much more isk damage on his opponents. In fact, he's undefeated. There's no use complaining about him dropping corp when you were the one dumb enough to use a broken mechanic to try to get some form of revenge.

As for war, what you need to do is dec CODE. We are the ones who enforce the code when the bumpers are unable to get compliance through more gentle means. We won't drop corp and in fact will fight to the last ship. I can personally guarantee that we will not dock up or play station games. We are solely in it for the good fights.

    2. I'll say this only once, Lenda. I didn't want that stupid 'drop-corp' trick.(Hell I think it was added before I even began playing eve)

In fact me and my entire corporation and everyone I have ever brought it up with also want that mechanic fixed post haste as it is nothing but a measley way for our war targets to escape and avoid having their corpses added to our vault.

I doubt our CEO would want to go after CODE, espetially after you gave us such a juicy target in the form of Cutie Mark Crusaders Militant Coalition...on that note, its the only real reason i come here...all these wonderful corps that get mentioned in the blog make even better target practise.

      Delete
    3. So I guess the pilots you dec should check with you to see if you support the "drop-corp trick" before using it? Its a game mechanic that can be used. In this case its used to great comedic effect when corps do 0 recon on their enemies. Anyone who reads minerbumping knows exactly what is going to happen when they read someone dec'd James. Victory and tears for the New Order, every single time. Its hilarious.

"deccing a bunch of -10s sounds pretty smart and useful"

Its a fantastic idea. Look at our war history. All those corps can't possibly be bad at Eve. We love war.

      Delete
    4. Well, Miner Intimidation hates bot miners as much as you. We just like to wardec them instead of bump them. Its much more fun and even more likely to see them scatter like cockroaches when our scouts pop into local...or we just wait for the idiots to fly past our HQ and we ambush them...and you'd be surprised what those morons lose cause they don't pay attention.

Hell, I just checked our corp killboard and some idiot lost a faction frigate cause he or she wasn't watching local.

    5. Well, you guys did not believe it when I said that I would move things forward. There are other things in the works that you just have to wait to see what happens.

    6. As one of the New Order members who ganks without alts, I just wanted to let Carlito know that your war with the Cutie Mark Corp hilariously transferred over to us.

Botten dropped CMCMC and joined up with one of the Game 0f Tears members, and they decced us. I recognized Miner Intimidation when we were checking their war history and realized they must of hired them to try and fight you guys off.

I think Botten doesn't realize how dumb it was to try and war dec a wormhole corp, especially considering G0T just hangs out in Amarr all day and probably wouldn't be up for going into a spooky wormhole. We ended up podding him and nailing a Brutix that came in to try and rescue him, and thereafter he was apparently kicked from the corp for incompetence.

I do agree that wars are definitely more entertaining than bumping a good 95% of the time, but everyone has their thing I suppose.

      Fly safe friend!

    7. have fun with them. They hid as soon as game of tears took the job. We never sqw one of them after that. The CEO in our corp told me its probably cause miner intimidation has tangled with GoT before.

  14. You just don't get it, do you?

Highsec pubbies and botters use dropping corp as their fav means of avoiding PvP.

James 315 uses it against them when they get butthurt because they were bumped and try to wardec.

Trust us ... we are all a bunch of -10 folks. We can be attacked on sight in highsec. No wardec needed. We would be ecstatic if miners were not allowed to drop corp during a wardec.

We would run wild amongst them, taking heads all day, and never having to deal with CONCORD.

  15. James is a coward.

Your excuses are fail. If James is "supposed" to be the our saviour then he should back up his mouth and not act like those he is trying to save.

All this proves is that James and probably most of the New Order hide behind the same mechanics that miners use all while crying about the mechanics the miners use.

As for the -10 crap. I do not see James 315 at -10. His alt is, I believe, but this character is not. So, in my mind, he is just as bad as a carebear using game mechanics to hide from PvP.

    James 315 should be redpenned.

  18. Game mechanics aside, as I'm sure at least some of you complaining also disagree/d with the drop corp method, James is showing that he can do it and that it pisses off all the carebears; which is great cause it works so well and what's even better is this mechanic exists ingame today because of said carebears (those who cried/continue crying). Since dropping a corp is no longer against the EULA, we all have to love it and nurture it regardless of how we feel towards it... and you can thank all the carebears/or those involved in having that changed.

For the -10, kind of difficult to bump as a -10 criminal; you should try it. I bet if you were KOS by facpo and players, you would die to fire a lot. James is doing both to maximize content and gameplay, more power to him. You should try it.
