CODE Always Wins the Argument, Too

If "might makes right", then the Agents of the New Order are surely always right. And yet, what's so impressive about the New Order is, not only are our Agents unbeatable warriors in PvP--they're also intellectual giants.

Disgruntled highsec carebear Philip Elliades sent a complaint EVEmail to Agent Liek DarZ. With no apparent provocation, he called the Agent an "asshole".

Agent Liek could have ignored the carebear. Or he could've repaid ugliness with ugliness. He did neither. Instead, our hero did something revolutionary for EVE and highsec: He told the truth.

Despite being told exactly what he needed to hear, Philip dug in his heels and called Liek an asshole again.

Carebears, if you're thinking of getting into an argument with an Agent of the New Order, I'd advise against it--unless you want to learn something. Our Agents have never lost a debate.

Poor Philip didn't even realize he was in the presence of a scholar. He didn't take advantage of the gift he'd been given. The carebear couldn't resist getting in the last word, though. Especially if the last word could be "asshole".

New Order guns reign over the asteroid belts and trade routes of highsec. But it's our Agents' brainpower that keeps empire space in line. Liek gave the carebear another lesson, reminding him of the importance of the risk/reward balance in EVE. Suicide gankers are essential. Philip, as you'd expect, wouldn't listen. He replied one more time:

True to his bot-aspirancy, Philip kept repeating the same mistake over and over. He couldn't expand his horizons beyond repetitive PvE and calling people assholes. If you've spent time in highsec, the interaction between Liek DarZ and Philip Elliades should have a familiar ring to it. It's a microcosm of the battle taking place. Code-violators keep losing, and CODE keeps winning--with style and class. If you've ever wondered why all the good people always end up on our side, what can I say? Birds of a feather flock together.

  1. i think jimmy's definition of good people is very different to the majority of eve's definition of the same.

    a. Of moral excellence; upright: a good person.
    b. Benevolent; kind: a good soul; a good heart.
    c. Loyal; staunch:
    d. Well-behaved; obedient: a good child.
    e. Socially correct; proper: good manners.
    7. Worthy of respect; honorable:

none of the above can or should be applied to code.......
all of the below however should be.

panderer - a person who serves or caters to the vulgar passions or plans of others (especially in order to make money)

    ruiner, uprooter, waster, destroyer, undoer - a person who destroys or ruins or lays waste to;
snake in the grass, snake - a deceitful or treacherous person
bad egg - (old-fashioned slang) a bad person

(all within the game of course ) as it should be.

    1. Why don't we describe you?

      A whiner.

      Let's describe a code member.

      A winner!

    4. No, he played the "I Win" card. Because he won the argument. And because he's a member of CODE., which makes him a "winner of glorious victories."

You guys on the other hand, are "not" members of CODE., which means that you "can't win." In some places, that would make you "losers," but members of CODE., win so hard, we don't even have to call you names in order to win. All we have to do is show up, and we start winning all over the place. Sometimes we wish we would lose, just to see what that feels like, but our very nature prevents that from happening.. We just win without trying.

I would also like to say that it feels good to win. God, it feels good.. Like a free chicken sandwich good. Or "the girl you like asking you out" good. Being part of CODE. Is the best thing I've ever done. Because before I joined CODE., I was a winner, but boy oh boy did I not understand the magnitude of victory until I joined CODE.

I guess that makes you guys feel pretty bad, you know? How bad you guys lose to us? Honestly I can't understand what keeps you going.. If I lost as bad at you I don't know what I would do with myself. But that's okay, because I just go back to winning, and then it all gets sunny and happy again. I wish I could share this happiness and victory with you, but you guys just don't seem to understand how that's possible. So good luck guys, I hope you all find out the secrets to our wonderful victories someday.

Yours in the Light of the Saviour,
      Ming

"Being part of CODE. Is the best thing I've ever done."
      wow really?
you have my sympathy if that's the best thing you have ever done.
i do hope you are only talking about in game ? but even then you have my sympathy you really do.
and as for winning the argument i think not. you guys inhabit a tiny part of new eden you have a tiny effect in that tiny part too.
those of us who live elsewhere find you petty, spiteful, but amusing so once again give yourself a pat on the back for the nothing you achieve every day in your tiny part of new eden and well done.
      have a nice day

    3. They do tend to repeat the same boring lines over and over. Come to think of it, it does sound like what a bot does.
