Lessons from an Orca Hunt

Did you know the Manifesto II was even longer than my recent article about the TeamSpeak harassment policy? Sasha Nyemtsov could tell you that. He's been going through the entire Manifesto II, one section at a time.

This section was a nice little parenthetical about the Orca wardeccing I did in early 2012. What's the relevance to the larger topic about carebearism? There's no better way to see the difference between the carebear and the true EVE player than to witness how they approach the game. The carebear whines for safety; the true EVE player triumphs over his enemies.

  1. Hell, the true Eve player might even crash and burn, but regardless he tries, he fights, and he learns.

    1. So how does this relate to Code performance in the AT..

hmm seems like people just think they are "true" eve players after all.

Thank you for clearing that up .
You show a lot of insight and are very mature in admitting your failures and how you are not yet true eve players.. Good luck in the future.

  2. The real Eve player maximizes utility. And if getting CCP to nerf ganking does that, then it is the proper approach.

    1. "The real Eve player maximizes utility."

Utility of playing EVE = 0, so the only way to win EVE is not to play. Not an original thought, but it is persuasive.

"And if getting CCP to nerf ganking does that, then it is the proper approach."

It clearly doesn't, so, it's not.

    2. Why does the utility of playing Eve = 0? If you enjoy it, doesn't that imply positive utility?

    4. Believing that EVE is pointless also implies that improving EVE is futile. For the sake of highsec, I recommend reconsidering your position.

Of course, since it s fairly easy to find out who 'CCP' is, the real CCP can then ban them and all their accounts for impersonation.

      I can't wait.

  4. I just hope I played a part in getting some gankers banned for good.
