Balthazarian's War, Part 1

Although CODE. is easily the most famous of its affiliates, the New Order's mission to enforce the Code transcends corps, alliances, and coalitions.

The New Order uses every weapon at its disposal. More than a few highsec carebears have learned that the wardec mechanic is included in the New Order's deadly arsenal. Corporations of all different sizes, loyal to the Code, surprise carebears by punishing them with wardecs.

Among the wardeccers: Sword of the Saviour corp, of the 315th Circuit Court alliance. They are so feared that their wardec targets often stay docked up for weeks. When this happens, some of the wardeccers switch to their ganker alts. One fine day, the wardecced carebears remained in their holes. The Miniboss corporation, armed with ganker alts, went active.

Akumako's Retriever was the first victim. Shaken to the core, she neglected to offer her betters a "GF" in local.

Despite the warnings provided by a local rebel loudmouth, Noland Ross' Retriever was ambushed and destroyed.

Noland, too, refused to accept responsibility for the loss. As he cursed the gankers, a mysterious fellow with the last name "Balthazarian" made himself known.

Murmured threats bubbled up. Was this a sign of armed rebellion, or just more chatter?

The ganker alts continued to ply their trade. With no choice but to bend to the Code, even the rebels told miners to "look alive". Exactly what we're trying to get them to do.

Owen Shovel's Hulk was incinerated. He claimed not to be AFK, yet he took no heed of the countless warnings in local.

The Balthazarian entered her final form, Babylon Balthazarian. Would she make good on her threats?

Balthazarian was defiant. She denied the legitimacy of the New Order mining permit. Crazy rebels. Do they print their own permits, now?

Though Balthazarian hadn't lifted a finger against the New Order yet, she encouraged others to resist the New Order--and reason.

Then it happened. Balthazarian told the ganker alts to wardec her alliance. She was a member of Industrial War Machine LLC corp, which belonged to the 3dge of D4rkness. alliance. They love to PvP, she said.

Again the rebel cried out for war. She would have it.

To be continued...

  1. I have a feeling, deep in my soul, that the Code is going to win this one too.

    I just know it!

Still.. that feeling of being on the edge of my seat...

    2. And yet, you're throwing it.

What's got you so worked up?

Are you protesting CODE.'s activities because you had enforcement action taken against you?

And if so, would you like to discuss it?

  2. Gotta love when James writes serials. Will the New Order finally suffer its first-ever defeat at the hands of this elite pvp carebear alliance? Guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out!

  4. It's a proven scientific fact that Code monkeys throw their own feces.

From the story and the comments here we discern that they roll around in it too.

    Not unlike dogs.

Aldo Raine, please make an appointment so you can show the agent where the Catalyst touched you.
Remember that a cancellation of the appointment requires 24hrs notice or there will be an additional charge of 30M.

  9. I'm always afk mining with my well tanked Skiff and no problems so far. Made Billions this year while watching movies or playing my alt during this time.
I win enough to plex my 2 accounts and buy stuff to PvE.

Conclusion : The code is useless, they only attack weak and easy target. Even if they manage to kill my ship (and I don't think they'll suceed), in the 15 min I can buy a new one and continue. But I'm laughing every week reading the bullshits of Code so thank y ou guys.

    1. Why gank skiffs when you can use the same number of required people to gank freighters, dealing 5-10 times the isk damage on the hull alone, not counting whatever cargo it has?

I have every faith that should there be no more freighters or other barges to gank skiffs will have their time, but until then, The Saviour's resources are better used elsewhere.

  11. Secondly, the barge-doll-agent-pedophile joke is as old and crusty as the 'New' Order itself!

    1. For someone who isn't a miner, you certainly do sound like one.

And by "old and crusty," we assume you mean "storied and venerated."
You correctly point out that the New Order has been around quite a long time now. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll run out of content... someday.

Probably before Held and his "Heroes of Highsec" blog runs out of content for his.

      And probably before

Supposedly, he's the "Anti-James 315!" He even said he'd write a blog post every day until the New Order is dead!

So far, in 38 days, he's only missed 10.

      Delete
    2. Props to him for trying, at least. Writing about meaningful content every day is hard when anti-gankers produce little meaningful content.

      Delete
    3. The fact that anti-gankers produce little meaningful content was the task he loudly declared that that he would take upon himself to fix.

It was a bold, heavy claim.

It was one that we at Minerbumping chortled and snickered at, knowing that he was fully unprepared to back up his words. Sure, we had hope, because we all love content, but in the end, we were right.

Held der Finisteris is no James 315. He doesn't even come close to a shadow of an imitation of the Saviour. He's just another random Anon who attempts to defile sacred scripture- and just as we suspected, his blog is dead three weeks after it launched.

Another New Order victory. At this point, we just sit back, bet on the New Order, and collect our winnings. It really is that simple.

  13. Still not bad. He probably doesn't have all the ghost writers that you guys have. He's fighting the good fight.

    ReplyDelete

    1. James 315 doesn't employ ghost writers. Everything that has ever been written on this site is the work of the Saviour himself. That doesn't mean to say that he can't write a bunch and then release it in parts; James and His Agents are quite fond of serial dramas.

  14. Content in EVE is good.

Even if you "Hate Code" and want to hunt them down in game and kick their ass's... that is good. Player's engaging other player's can only be a plus for this game. I sincerely hope that Held is successful in gathering a dedicated opposition. That would be some classic content!

It is a large single sandbox after all and playing by yourself, while other groups, playing together, playing around you, and having fun, will get old very fast. It's no longer a game then, but just another task you do while you do something else. What would be the point of logging on then?

    1. I'm not sure what would be left of interest for me if CODE just up and decided to quit doing what they do. I'm not joking when I say that, either.

Conflict with CODE accessible. I have a number of in game advantages in game mechanics, and I know of a small number of players who are motivated to participate in the same conflict. This is a relatively low bar from my perspective, as opposed to low or null. Once I jump this hurdle, I'll be that much closer to venturing outside of hisec.

What's more, I wasn't the first one to think of that. That's what CODE has been trying to teach players, anyway. If I join them, they win. If I fight them, they win. If I leave hisec, they win. This is why the code always wins, always.
