Humility in Greatness

Agent Aaaarrgg is one of highsec's great problem solvers. He's always troubleshooting.

Aaaarrgg has earned a reputation for extreme helpfulness. People come to him for advice, support--and sometimes simply to vent about their personal problems.

Though he's accessible to everyone, Agent Aaaarrgg makes no bones about where he stands on the issues. That is to say, the issue: The Code. He's in favor of it.

The Code influences everything. If you lack the Code, you'll end up looking (and smelling) like war child233.

...And you'll stay that way until you embrace the Code.

Dzipas's alt, sidas 31, lost a Retriever. Instead of wondering what was deficient about the Retriever, he assumed there was something wrong with the guy who won the battle.

This is where Codelessness gets you.

Some miners wouldn't recognize common sense even if it came right up to them and detonated their mining barge.

Dzipas finally conceded that maybe Aaaarrgg knew what he was doing. The miner rationalized the incident by deciding that it's rude or immoral to win at EVE.

Despite Aaaarrgg's rock star status, he's extraordinarily humble and down-to-earth. He never fails to remind the miners that he gets his inspiration from the Saviour of Highsec. After all, Aaaarrgg didn't just wake up one morning and decide to be awesome; I told him to do it.

You'd think the shining light of the Code would give miners a reason to smile. Yet there are still plenty of carebears who remain crusty and cynical. ImperialAcademy ReliReclaim falls into that category.

Everyone who's interacted with me knows about my humility. I'm famous for it. If you've ever wondered how the New Order's nigh-omnipotent Agents keep their egos in check, they learned it from me.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you're willing to put your ego aside in favor of a great cause. Highsec miners would do well to think less of themselves.

The Hard Man, Part 2

Previously, on MinerBumping... Everyone in the Isanamo system witnessed the awesome power of the Code when newly minted Agent Layalina Kasyanenkova took down Adrianne Cortanna's unlicensed vessel. Yet the carebears of Isanamo were prepared to persist in their old way of life.

Stubbornness is a common character flaw among the rebels. It's like a mirror universe version of our Agents' legendary endurance.

A new challenger entered the ring. fizzy Oriki maintained open defiance against the New Order. Apparently fizzy hadn't learned anything from watching Adrianne go down in flames.

fizzy confirmed that he was a bot-aspirant: Ignorance of the Code is a violation of it. It would be like someone in nullsec asking, "Goons? Who are those guys?"

It was clear that fizzy's demonstration was inspiring a rebellious attitude among other miners in the system. Agent Layalina grew concerned for them.

fizzy was supremely confident in his safety. Though Layalina was a new Agent, she knew that fizzy's attitude could only have one outcome.

The miner seemed to delight in tempting fate. What was he thinking?

Throwing any remaining caution to the wind, fizzy announced his location to everyone in the system. Was there any chance that his ship would survive the night?

Our Agent could only shake her head. She was embarrassed for the carebear--he was flirting with disaster.

Seraph Essael spoke in local for the first time. His words were wise.

...And at that very moment, he was killing fizzy Oriki.

fizzy wasn't suicide ganked; the hapless carebear had engaged in combat willingly. The result, of course, was his total destruction. It was inevitable from the moment he spoke--nay, thought--against the Code.

The Hard Man, Part 1

Meet Layalina Kasyanenkova. She's a bright young Agent of the New Order. She believes in the Code and fair play.

Not everyone appreciates fair play. Despite having 20 minutes to display a permit or vacate the asteroid belts, Adrianne Cortanna got herself ganked. So much for the "if only they warned us, then we'd pay" crowd.

Judging by the ship she lost, nothing could've persuaded Adrianne to buy a permit. Look at that atrocity. Adrianne's Cormorant was "puke tanked": Its only hope of survival was to make a would-be attacker vomit after scanning the fit.

You know, it's one thing to be a bot-aspirant, but it's another thing to flaunt it.

Agent Layalina had her work cut out for her. She was only a few days into New Order Logistics corp, but she already had a high-level Goofus on her hands. Time to sink or swim.

Our Agents always win; the New Order attracts talent. Layalina deftly employed the use of the ultimate highsec litmus test. By speaking my name, she forced the miner to reveal the true depth of her depravity.

Adrianne was certainly an odd duck. She complained about the size of Layalina's bounty, as if it somehow made the gank illegitimate.

Now matter how much helpful advice she received, Adrianne always had a reason to complain about it and declare herself helpless. Don't be surprised to see her join Anti-Ganking one of these days.

Nothing could derail our Agent's optimism. She gave Adrianne the hard sell.

For the briefest of moments, it almost looked like Adrianne might be interesting in joining the New Order family. But out of nowhere, Adrianne had a change of heart, pulling the rug out from underneath our Agent by threatening to petition her.

If Adrianne didn't want to purchase a permit, she should've at least hidden herself in shame. Instead, she began to enlist other locals to join her pity party. The Isanamo system needed another demonstration of the Code's power--and soon.

Code Ready Gelhan, Part 30

Previously, on MinerBumping... Mission Ready Mining's defense strategy was in tatters. To defend Gelhan, the corp resorted to repeatedly petitioning Agent Kalorned. And just when they'd become sick to death of being bumped, the miners were greeted by a handful of ganker alts.

Agent AGBee 001 ganked the miners of Gelhan at will. During the 15-minute criminal timer, he engaged MRM in conversation. Both activities drove the carebears to distraction.

A stunning revelation: One of the miners, En-Sabah-Nur, knew an Agent of the New Order in real life. He had powerful friends in highsec!

As AGBee was reeling from En-Sabah-Nur's news, another miner took up a different approach entirely: Sheihara Lightning pleaded for mercy on the grounds of being a newbie.

When AGBee offered less than the compassion Sheihara expected, the miner pulled a quick 180. Sheihara would have his revenge against the ganker.

If you gaze too long into the abyss... Sheihara embarked on a new life--one of violence. It's true what they say: PvP begets PvP.

If the miners of MRM had all put down their mining lasers and taken up the cause of the Code, they would've at least had something productive to do during the siege.

...But MRM's miners were docked up instead. Whenever one tried to peek his head out for a moment to get some quality time with the asteroids, he was ganked.

AGBee could kill anyone in MRM he chose, but they wouldn't let him enjoy it. They admitted to being easy pickings--like babies, even.

However, AGBee was an Agent of the New Order. He was filled with the spirit of the Code, which meant that he was having a blast.

The miners, on the other hand, were absolutely miserable. After weeks of being blockaded in Gelhan, they had no sense of humor at all.

As MRM settled into a routine of watching AGBee kill the remaining miners, something unusual occurred. Out of the blue, someone named Apocriphia threatened to petition one of the miners for using foul language.

Apocriphia was a member of The Marmite Collective. Behind the scenes, diplomacy had broken down between the Marmites and MRM, which had tried to hire all available mercenaries to attack the New Order. What would this new development bring in its wake?

Many observers believe that this month was a tipping point of sorts. Things went very badly for the bot-aspirants. Of course, things have gone badly for the bot-aspirants before, but this month things went particularly badly for them. Part of the explanation for that has to be the incredible generosity of the New Order's shareholders. No wonder bot-aspirants hate them!
