Over Four Hundred Eleven Billion in Shares Sold

Time for a pop quiz! Don't get nervous, now. I'll provide the answers--just like I always do.

Question: Do people care enough about the future of highsec to give their hard-earned isk to the New Order?

Answer: You better believe they do.

Ilithyia Borgia purchased 215 additional shares. This sent us over the 407 billion isk mark and earned Ilithyia a Supreme Protector's Tip of the Hat™.

290xanaots brought out the big guns with a purchase of 3,400 additional shares. Milestones achieved: The 408, 409, and 410 billion isk marks. 290xanaots earned a coveted Triple Supreme Protector's Tip of the Hat™.

Wearing a wry smile, Bing Bangboom purchased an additional 750 shares. We've now topped 411 billion isk! Bing earned yet another Supreme Protector's Tip of the Hat™ and is now the seventh-largest shareholder in the Order.

Question: What is the New Order willing to do to save highsec?

Answer: Whatever it takes.

  2. Buying shares in the New Order makes it possible for us to gank for free. Every donation is a sacred trust, placed in the benevolent hand of our Father, our Saviour.

It is the total opposite of the actions of the greedy, grasping carebears, for whom benevolence is a dirty word.

So proud to be one of the good guys. Special bow to 290xanaots. Give.

Every donation is a sacred tithe. It shows faith in our Savior and helps us wage the crusade to free HighSec.

    1. Unmatched funding and reimbursement program of any alliance in Eve is more like it. You MUST be talking about the ant-gankers.. now those are "moarons"! :)

    2. ant gankers are definitely moarons. They'll never gank every ant - far too many of them.

    3. :D You could call them anti-gankers but they really don't stop anything. They just take scraps from Concord... ants.

  4. Is this where Psychotic Monk ended up? - Liked his BU updates / tales, this is just a paw (Brother Roland I mean poor) copy with the addition of demonstrating that you're actually rather vile individuals.

    1. Psychotic Monk is very busy outside of Eve, and he's a very good human being. Contrary to what the carebears and white knights think, the New Order and Belligerent Undesirable communities are full of oustanding people. Police officers, active duty military, nurses, IT professionals, teachers, professors, writers, doctors, college students, and so many other backgrounds. I am continually impressed by the high moral standards they exhibit every day. Blowing up spaceships, taking over corps, etc is great fun. But none have ever gone into real life to attack a person, like so many tried to do against some of us. None attack genders, sexual preferences, races, etc. None attack with vile language. But the carebears/white knights do all of these negative things while calling "bad guys" in a space game bad people.

If you have to throw out attacks, step away from the keyboard. People who attack people over spaceships are not welcome in BU or NO and will be shown the door. Keep it in game and in-character on comms.

I can say with certainty that no one that has spent any amount of time with me in Eve engages in any sort of real-life harassment. Real-life harassment is not acceptable to me or any of us. It's a shame that CCP used that poor word choice, because it is completely, utterly false.

The only single exception I can recall, and he's not part of our community, is when Vince Draken replied all to one of those evemails a client sent some eve notables. Vince Draken told one of my clients who may have been in a very vulnerable state to go kill himself in real life. Had Vince been in NO or BU, he would have been swiftly booted. There is no excuse for that. I could understand a 30 day ban had he swiftly apologized like Mittens did while intoxicated, but I understand Vince Draken does this on a regular basis. There is no room in Eve for that.

    3. That's a delightfully long response to a question about a colleague of yours E1. I'll be honest, I didn't read it all (such drivel zones me out). Is this where Mr Monk ended up? Its a shame he hasn't posted to his BU blog since last xmas.

If you respond E1, please make an effort to do so in a concise manner which even the lowliest carebear can understand (no more grandstanding - although it is most humourous).

    6. I am not Monk. He is much better at IT stuff than me. His wife is quite the catch though, so many people wish they were indeed Monk. We do have some things in common, but can you imagine the workload of being me and him at the same time? Like zero sleep. He is among my top picks for alt of James though, assuming you don't also think I'm James. Because I'm not sure even James himself could handle being himself, me, and Monk all at the same time. I mean, you'd have to be super human or a cylon or something. And given our feelings about bots and those who aspire to be like bots, we know the latter can't be true. I am also famously lazy. There is no way I could maintain two rockstars in Eve at once.

  6. CODE seem to have reached a point where CCP have realised they're losing players by CODE behaviour. James - can we have a (sensible) comment from your holiness on this.

    ReplyDelete

    1. CODE has absolutely zero effect on players quitting the game.
Anybody that quits because their internet spaceship blew up was going to quit in any event. Also, most players that get ganked by CODE are borderline botters and not paying for a sub anyway.

This is just another story in CCP hypocrisy. Its a long, long story.

      ----------Mike Adoulin

    2. No players have ever quit due to CODE that have done anything for the game, whatsoever. Mining afk all day to buy plex with isk, so I doubt CCP cares either.

    1. I'd love to see a contest where James, E1, and Mittani all compete to write the longest article on the same topic, maybe something along the lines of "what value does a carebear bring to Eve?"

      Delete
    2. You know, I just realized that James and E1 both write lots of words, both are upbeat in the face of adversity, both love this Code thing more than just about anyone I've seen, and lots of other close similarities. Are they like a brother/sister or husband/wife team?

      Delete
    3. No, E1 is a guy. I don't think anyone has ever heard James talk outside of a single CSM interview where he is said to have used a voice changer. However, if James is actually a she, then she and he should definitely hook up and make babies. I mean, can you even imagine a James 315/Erotica 1 child being born and saving highsec 20 years from now? Could probably get to 100% compliance AND run a huge bank at the same time.

      Delete
    4. Anon 7:36,

The CSM interview you mention (http://crossingzebras.com/csm8james315/) identifies James 315 clearly as male. The distortion in his voice is noticeable, but mercifully moderate.

If anyone reading this wasn't aware of the recording, I urge you to go have a listen. The full interview is downloadable.

    5. @ anon 7:36

Achieve 100% compliance AND run a huge bank? Have you not heard the tale of Currin Trading and the EIB? If James 315 is the father of high-sec. Currin trading is the son (the third character is clearly some kind of ghost).

  8. I fully believe that CCP Seagull has a destination in mind for EVE. I also believe that she has managed to convince the investors that the destination is reachable and will be profitable. We wouldn't be here now otherwise.

The trick is to get there without the wagon falling over. We've all noticed the hardening in the CCP public rhetoric both in support of ganking as a whole (the 'Falcon Punch') and of the cissyfying camp. There is a reason for that. To reach the player-built Stargate dream, it will be necessary to ensure the subscriptions of both sides, without which, apparently, the future is indeed in doubt.

CCP may need the subscriptions of the carebears, but if we can convert them into useful members of the Highsec community, not only will the financial future of the game be assured, we will also have a highly skilled and trained army of fighters, industrialists and what-not, who will be equal to the challenges envisaged by CCP Seagull and her advisers.

James 315 is famously as unconcerned about CCP's Bottom Line, as perhaps I am (though much less famously) about staff turnover at the company. I remain focused on delivering the Vision.

    1. Tear harvesting wasn't mentioned in this article; since CCP cares more about people's stated motivations than they do about their actual actions, that is the smart way to handle it.

    2. The point is if the CODE folks would just play the game and stop with the pathetic tear harvesting they wouldn't be getting banned.

  11. We shall protest these bot-aspirants' known as CODE. in eve by not only unsubscribing from the game, but by calling our banks and getting our funds back in the name of fraud! EVE has been taken over by zionists! we must take back our freedom and our money and take it somewhere else. Eve is dying, eve is dead, eve is nothing more than an overdue funeral! it's time to take this fight to the bank and get our money back! itll show CCP how much they've fucked up!
