The Battle for Aridia, Part 5

Previously, on MinerBumping... Agent Alt 00 came under attack from Aridian rebels who belonged to the United Systems of Aridia alliance and its feeder corp, U.S.A. - University. Initially, the attacks consisted of the usual anti-Code slurs and insults. But as Alt 00 became increasingly famous in Aridia, resistance escalated. The rebels began attempting to suicide gank our Agent's scout.

One of the mouthier rebels, tfalcon2b1 Echerie, landed on grid and targeted the scout alt's Buzzard with a Catalyst. Having much experience with the ship, Alt 00 was well aware of the Catalyst's capabilities. She maneuvered out of the Catalyst's effective range--and was surprised to see a criminal activity notification occur anyway.

It wasn't the Catalyst who had gone criminal; it was a Svipul piloted by Mirko Vinci Anneto. Yet another rebel.

Mirko didn't fare any better than the previous would-be gankers. In fact, he did even worse, being immediately blapped by sentry guns. The scout alt's Buzzard gracefully glided by the Svipul wreck and scooped over 100 million isk worth of loot.

'Twas another teachable moment. The cowardly carebears had repeatedly tried and failed to suicide gank an unarmed ship. Maybe they should've focused on shooting ships that can shoot back--like Hulks with combat drones.

Another member of the rebel band logged in just in time to hear fresh reports of New Order victories.

The rebels were concerned about opsec. But Alt 00 knew that the only security in highsec comes from total compliance with the Code.

When the New Order first came to highsec, they compared us to Nazis. A few years later, ISIS references materialized. Who would've guessed that the host of "The Apprentice" would be the next logical step in this sequence?

The Aridian rebels longed for that blissful, pre-Code era. They were nostalgic for something that never existed, really. If you weren't a bot-aspirant, highsec was awful in those days.

Alt 00 couldn't help but notice that she and her alt were outnumbered by a wide margin, yet were continuously victorious. Would the rebels have the strength of character to commend our Agent on her elite PvP performances?

The rebels doubled-down on their bad sportsmanship. One even suggested he'd pay miners not to buy permits--which must rank among the worst ways to spend one's money in EVE. What a Goofus.

Alt 00 saw no alternative but to activate the next phase of her plan.

Each of the rascals received a bounty of 315,315 isk.

Alt 00 hoped that taking this step would clear the air and improve the toxic Aridian atmosphere. But as a seasoned Agent, she also knew there was a chance that the anti-Code carebears would only get even more out of control.

To be continued...

    1. The Ritalin guy makes me happy I'm not an anti ganker, with leadership like that you know you're doomed to failure.

    3. I've gotta ask purely out of morbid curiosity, what is it that you think Ritalin actually does when suggesting it?!

    4. Since you and most code members have down syndrome with narcolepsy presumably, it might help you function at a level of social function necessary to communicate with something other than tears and anger toward a video game.

    5. Clearly you are on a subhuman level Snigie and don't even know how to reply to the direct post here. It's ok, keep reading the code I'm sure all the answers you seek are there OR once you take your Ritalin, it'll be magic and you'll succeed at these seemingly impossible tasks!

    1. Because you can't read anything longer than a Archie comic without getting the shakes. Remember the Ritalin. Ritalin is easy!

  8. It's a crying shame you maggots are so smart but you can't stop our corp from simply isbot mining in the 1.0 and 0.9 systems. There are more than enough of those systems to hide in you'll never get us. WarDec's? Worthless broken mechanic. See you..... oh that's right, I'll never see you in high high sec.

    1. I'm glad we have kept you in a state of fear, terrified to leave rookie systems. However, with the purchase of a mining permit, you and your fearless Corp can venture (no pun intended) beyond the confines of your current prison.

    3. What is there to brag about? You are playing an MMORPG by AFK mining and evading any player interaction. You are basically playing a single player game with a monthly subscription. And you don't even play it, you let it run in the background, pay no attention to it, you haven't found any friends, you are part of no community, you never experienced half of what the game has to offer, you just mine ore and hoard meaningless game credits to continue on and on. And the only interaction you get is spewing your foul words in the comment section of this blog. I can assure you the agent had more fun in those 20 minutes (by acting a role in a role playing game, flying his ship, interacting with other players, preparing for battle - if not in 'tour' sector, then in some else - and actually playing the game how it is meant to be played) than you will ever experience. He beat you on all levels, without ever needing to destroy your ships, because you forfeited the only thing that is important in a game - having fun. You are just sad, that's all.

    4. BAHAHAHAHAHA, I have all the proof I need; I exist! Do you really think I'm just going to hand over free operational intelligence like that? You're not just a loser, you're a stupid loser.

Anon @ 2:05pm Yet another "You're playing the sandbox WRONG!" whiner. And who the hell said anything about AFK. Managing a dozen toons, even with automation, is not an AFK activity. And I am certainly not alone. I have several other players in my corp who are much better conversationalists than sanctimonious role-players. Not to mention the two jf pilots and the producer I recruited who are helping me learn how to set up our production chain as my building skills level up. My isk most definitely isn't sitting meaninglessly. My fun is just different from yours. SANDBOX.
What is sad is your claim to own all of highsec. As long as I fly unhindered you'll never convince me you are not all just blowhards hiding from Concord.
