Highsec Miner Grab Bag #18

Uh-oh, the New Order is being compared to the Holocaust. You know what that means! It's time for another edition of the Grab Bag of miscellaneous miner tears!

Arturo Buzar has it completely wrong. The New Order is not about jumping from attacking one group to the next. The whole point is to have a laser-like focus on the highsec miners. They love to point to everything else that's wrong in EVE, but we're not going to let up until this problem is solved.

There's no market manipulation at work, at least not by me. If following the Code makes me rich, so be it. If it makes me poor, so be it. Either way, I stand for what I believe in, and my Agents do likewise.

I've noticed that whenever a miner tells me that I can't stop him from doing something, it's because I just stopped him from doing it. Coma Podiene's comment puzzles me. Anyone who follows the Code doesn't follow their own Code? It's like he was in such a rush to fill a Miner Bingo square that he didn't think things through.

Now things get interesting. Are there now miners who believe in the "true" Code and its "real" followers? The New Order is as real as it gets, folks.

Our Knights take every risk imaginable and engage in fair fights. There's no pleasing some people.

As if the Agents of the Saviour of Highsec need to be lectured about honour by someone named Mama Spanksalot. We in the New Order have more honour than we know what to do with.

Agent Runeme Shilter gave fair warning to the miners of Brapelille when he notified them of a quadruple-Retriever kill. Bad miners fled in terror; good miners bought permits and continued to mine in peace.

Agent Lin Suizei has it right. As long as a miner can immediately reply in local when bidden by the authorities, he is considered at his keyboard. If you can perform that task while engaging in leisurely pursuits like the ones Lin suggested, there's no reason ever to be bored while mining.

Inspektor Cluseau always lives up to his name. The New Order is filled with Goons in -A-? Conspiracy theories abound these days, as the panicked miners spread rumors from system to system.

For the first time, I've been told to "go back to Xbox Live". Do they bump miners there? Do they create systems of justice and civilization? If not, then I'm not interested.

BRAZIL mca spoke passionately on behalf of his fellow Code violators. If only miners like BRAZIL could put that energy into something positive, we'd liberate highsec in half the time.

Some people think I have mad ambitions. Not so. I am a realist and a pragmatist, with limited aims. I only intend to make all the miners of highsec follow the Code. That's not asking too much, is it?

  1. A reasonable and noble request James. All I ask is that code violators die in a fire and be reborn from the charred fragments of their mackinaws into functional, well-rounded citizens of Highsec, but they say folks like us are dreamers...

  3. That gun sounds like an awfully good idea James, I'd try it if I were you.

  4. Fyi, a player who played for 1 year and gotten himself onto #4 of the Most Wanted list, with a bounty of 14 billion ISK, has biomassed.

    Name: leleon kizine

The bounty system is working. \o/

    1. Ahh so in order to get rid of these pesky bumpers/gankers you have to put only 14 billions bounty on everyone or ......... oh wait or maybe 10 millions per YEAR seems way better now eh?
Alternatively you can also biomass your character or leave eve :)

P.S. please don't forget also the gankers they have this stupid habit to shoot each others when suicide, in this way they collect the bounty put on them by angry mindless idiots.

  5. As usual this blog delivers way more than eve-o forums. Keep up the gj guys.

  6. I'm sure he means put a pistol in your mouth and fire *in game*, right?

    1. Probably not. Players that choose to be victims seem to enjoy threatening to murder people IRL, or attempting to encourage people to kill themselves. It's really common, but nothing ever comes of it.

  7. The so called "Tears" that Minerbumping shows merely serve to condemn it.

  8. What a laugh. I've only recently returned to EVE and I noticed this support for "James 315" here n there. So, as a curious human does, I had to investigate. I must admit, I absolutely love the idea of it all, but not the "supreme leader". You're a joke. This "code" crap and your constant self absorbed banter is rediculous. The way you twist reality and intellectually belittle people to try place some spice on what your corp really is, is extremely tacky and honestly makes me wonder about the level of mental capabilities that your "followers" have attained.

Take your hand off of it bro!

Your corp is nothing more than organized piracy, which I think is brilliant. I'm tingling with excitement to know that someone has managed to incorporate something that I feel EVE was missing. It is a part of real life, so it should be in EVE, as it will be when we reach the stars. In that respect, well done. To the body of the corp: Find a true leader, James 315's attitude is holding the corp back from greatness and true respect.

I look forward to paying a fee for the freedom to mine in High-Sec. Cheers. ;)

    1. Don't take it too seriously... it's a game. It's fun. James has in the past few months created more content than most could ever dream to achieve.

A lot of this I personally think is very tongue in cheek. It's fun and funny to watch/participate in when I have the free time.

I've never personally RP'ed in any game until this came along. I've quite enjoyed playing the role of a nut job in high sec.

    2. Role playing and going full retard is not quite the same. One chooses to role play, but one does not choose the other.

  9. Why is CCP locking Miner Bumping threads?? So much for honorary members..

    1. CCP is locking the Miner bumping threads because some of us have carried the enforcement of The Code into the forums and have elicited the same white-hot, mind-melting rage from the miners we get in local. Every thread eventually reaches the same point where the New Order posters make it clear that we can't be stopped and that all miners need to buy a permit. Then a round of one liner insult posts and CCP closes it down.

Its not hard to blame them. Trying to control the forums where people have no restrictions placed on what they can write in terms of actually being pertinant or .... sane... makes for an impossible job.

Poster One : The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act clearly exacerbated the collapse in global trade.

Poster Two: Yo! Me and my peeps do what we want! Snap!

Poster Three: My brother and I found this abandoned car out in the wood and we started wailing on the hood with a rock and it made this WICKED sound....

You'd lock them on first sniff if you were a CCP forum mod.

  11. Keep up the good work and liberate highsec.
I'm not a miner so the new order doesn't really affect me in any way but this whole idea is way too entertaining to ignore!
Hell I might even make a modest donation to show my support for this venture.

  12. I don't think eliminating bots and fucking with people who very clearly need to be fucked with counts as "roleplaying a nutjob" but hey, whatever.... I never think of it as role-play, and I do role-play from time to time. Typically when people role-play, they don't acknowledge the fact that we're all sitting behind a computer, playing a game. RPers tend to pretend they are something they're not. We simply claim to be the New Order of Highsec, who punish those who violate the code. We don't pretend to be ~Real Space Knights~, and countless killmails testify to the fact that we really do enforce the code, which we PLAYERS made up and agreed to. Is Goonswarm "roleplaying" when they enforce their own laws in their own space?

When I role-play, I'm a patriotic Caldari citizen with a whole history of being born a privileged Civire raised during the meritocratic revolution, brainwashed by the Provists into being a gallente-hating bigot and blah blah blah... All this affects my motives and why I do what I do.

When I'm an agent of the New Order, I'm a guy at his computer enforcing the Code because the change the New Order brings really is good for the game I am playing. Also, it's fun as hell.

But hey! Call it whatever you want guys! The New Order can be different things to different people, but it's all good! :D

    1. You don't believe the shit you write yourself. So why would anyone else? It is not your game and you have no clue on what to do in EVE. It stays a mystery to you and so you aim to "punish" and "fuck" with those who are not even at the keyboard.

The truth is that people leave you alone, they leave you behind, because you go full retard every time. And when you are alone does it make you cry.

      Your problem: ADD.

      The solution: take your meds.

    2. As much as you'd like to deny it, fucking with people is a valid profession in EVE & is highly profitable when done well. Not everyone wants to not play EVE by mining &/or running missions all day. When you break it down, almost every activity in EVE is classfied as 'fucking with people', even mining.

      Delete
    3. If it wasn't a valid profession, CCP wouldn't glorify these things & use them as a selling point to get external news sources talking about the game. I also would've been permanently banned long ago but as it stands, I've never been banned, warned or spoken to by a GM for such actions.

The real problem is people attempting to relate ingame personalities with real life personalities.

      Delete
    4. You don't know the truth.

CCP doesn't glorify ganking - you do. If a GM ever had contacted you regarding ganking would not be posting here. Neither do you have a personality. The lack thereof lets you make one up and you imagine being a good person and someone who destroys the efforts of other players, players who you have never met before and who are not at their keyboards.

That's the truth. Do you now want to tell me that I am lying?

      Delete
    5. Destroying the efforts of other players is a part of the game that CCP has created & EVE would stagnate with out that aspect.

The real life vs ingame personality tangent has been done to death over the years & they have been shown to be completely unrelated to each other. A great example of this ironically comes from 'peaceful miners', who after being ganked/bumped/awoxed/scammed seem to favour resorting to real life threats of harm or personal attacks against ones personal character (much like you're trying to do). They are peaceful miners in game, but seemingly psychotic once their personality surfaces.

Regarding AFK miners; While I disagree with a game mechanic that rewards profiting by not playing, they aren't my preferred quarry. Active players are more profitable & more sporting because they aren't AFK & some of them actually thwart my efforts from time to time which is rather refreshing.

    6. Again, you don't know the truth. I already called you stupid, I told you you have no personality, and yet do you try arguing with me.

So I really don't care for you or any of your arguments. Rather explain to me why it is you who is now butthurt and in tears after you ganked miners whose tears you like to harvest?

You are no better than anyone else and when one digs deeper does it only get worse.

      Delete
    7. I'm not arguing with you at all. You've already shown how little you know by posting irrelevent garbage under anonymity. Burying your head in the sand doesn't make facts false no matter how deep you bury it.

      Delete
    8. And you keep trying to argue. Why?

Why do you want to care when you know you don't want to and because you fail??

  13. I'm pretty sure this "advertisement" for Eve is just what CCP wants.

Numbers 9,8 and 4 are glorifications of ganking.
