The Life of a Rebel
Meet SPIONKOP. Miner. Rebel. Desperately unhappy with the changes we've brought to highsec.
He's become so concerned about the possibility of a bot-free, human-centric highsec that he's seriously considered quitting EVE. But for now, he resists the New Order in any way he can.
SPIONKOP's comments are revealing. This is how carebears think. They want to ban all combat from highsec, and they believe CCP will do it.
SPIONKOP created a corp dedicated to the destruction of the New Order, and he's even made use of the new corp advertisement feature. By his own admission, being a rebel is a "real shitty life".
His own identity is now subsumed by his anti-Order agenda. His bio offers little information about himself, and a lot of angry rants about the New Order.
He's confident that history will prove him right. Unfortunately for SPIONKOP, history is squarely on the side of the New Order. We represent progress, and the march of progress cannot be stopped by any rebel, no matter how angry and frustrated he may be.
SPIONKOP decided to take up arms against us, camping our ice fields in a Tornado. He thought he could sit back and snipe at the Knights of the Order. He was wrong.
I gave the order to attack his Tornado. In barely more than the blink of an eye, its shields were stripped and the ship was destroyed.
...Which was followed by his pod.
SPIONKOP's resistance cost him dearly. He couldn't offer us a "gf" in local, since he was podded far away.
His implants went to the same void to which all rebel equipment is destined.
SPIONKOP lost his ability to get on Concord killmails, but he vowed revenge. His troubled soul offers a lesson to us all: Apart from Order, there is only chaos and despair. His corp advertisement told it true, I'm afraid. May he find peace, wherever he is.
