Article on Freighter Ganking for TheMittani dot com

As you're probably aware, TheMittani.com is EVE's most popular news site. Since news primarily occurs in the form of great battles between nullsec empires, that's their primary focus. However, they also have writers from other areas of the game to give those a voice, as well. There aren't too many people willing to represent highsec, but I am one of them. As the Father of the New Order and Saviour of Highsec, it is only natural that I should take a deep and abiding interest in the affairs of highsec.

My latest article for TheMittani.com, Should Freighter Ganking Be Nerfed?, has been published. In the article, I explore all the pros and cons of setting limits to the ganking of freighters in highsec. There aren't any pros, though.

You can check out all my previous articles, along with other items of interest, through our Links page.

  1. Was freighter ganking even slated to get a nerf? Has CCP said anything like "we're going to nerf freighters, what do you think?" or is this just speculation and warning...

    1. CCP typically doesn't say "We're considering nerfing this, but let's all have a conversation and maybe you can persuade us otherwise"; they announce nerfs after they've already decided to employ them. By that point, it's too late to have the argument. Now is a good time to make the anti-nerf argument, because the pro-nerf chatter is heating up.

    2. And where is the pro-nerf chatter heating up?

    3. The usual suspects... EVE-O, and some other places not worth mentioning.

    4. Can you cite any sources for this? Any place is worth mentioning if it's a primary source for this idea.

  2. A little change here, another one here and bye bye hisec as we know, welcome carebear land. Good job CCP for the moment maybe you will get an increase of subscriptions from carebears, then when the new trendy MMO will appear no more subscriptions.

  3. Kudos to James 315 for dedicating so much of his spare time to not just entertain, but educate.
