The irony is, he only gets this kind of mail because he's doing the miners an extra service, over and above what Agents already do.
You see, when a bumper learns that a miner is AFK, he can't count on the miner returning to keyboard in time to see the warning/explanation in local chat, since other chatter will cause it to scroll up. So Agents like Zak (and myself) will bump the miner out of range and then send the miner an EVEmail telling them what happened. And this is the thanks we get for our courtesy.
Sometimes the EVEmails come from non-English speakers. Using Google Translate, we've taken an in-depth look at what Russian and Polish miners have had to say. The EVEmail message pictured above is in Italian.

Zak sent me the screencap above. Since he has time-stamping enabled in his local window, you can see that Tashima Yulaani responded to Agent BillMurray's call to obedience in record time--in less than a second. Either that, or Tashima was saying that to someone else when our Agents arrived, and decided it was just as applicable to what Bill said. Who knows?

DeleteLet them spy on the bumpers chat. They will find that the order is bigger than they think it is.
DeleteAlso, if bumpers say that they are going to move to system x, then non-paying miners who aren't AFK may move out. Meaning a higher proportion of AFK miners remaining. So their spies will only help the order.
The only way to gain access to some form of chat channel that probably doesn't exist is to purchase a significant amount of shares.
DeleteThe regular miner bumping chat - if it exists - is very regular compared to the much more interesting 1000+ shareholder chat - if it exists. You can guess where all important strategic decisions are made.
DeleteSpais, thousands of 'em :P although bumping chat, which may or may not exist, would dispel the myth that all bumpers are James's alts, which may or may not be true. By virtue of us all possibly being James's alts we're all possibly Mittens alts and possibly CCP soundwave alts to, because everybody knows that Eve is probably mostly CCP staff, Goons and their alts.
