Any Day Now

Nearly five months ago, I declared I was taking command of the ice field in Halaima. Since then, my Agents and I have been endlessly threatened and conspired against by our enemies. For some reason, though, the Big Attack never seems to occur.

Two carebears plotted in Kamio. They shared complaints about the New Order's Agents hiding in big alliances. Wait, weren't they just recently complaining that we're all in NPC corps? Conditions are never quite right for war.

Even so, Kazekage Dono threatened to put a gang of Thrashers together to take down our bumping ships once and for all. His secret weapon was the knowledge that rig drawbacks limit our armor. Most of our bumpers are shield tanked, but I guess it doesn't matter, since the Thrasher gang never showed up.

Scum Killer, a member of the illustrious To The Stars corp, likewise threatened to send a Thrasher gang to destroy our bumpers.

Agent Bing Bangboom feared the promised attack would never arrive. He knows miner talk all too well.

Meanwhile, perpetual whiner Harry Willie had high hopes that the rebel forces, the "New New Order", were only delaying their attack while they set up a bunch of bookmarks. They must have libraries full of the things by now. Perhaps "busy setting up bookmarks" should be added to the lexicon of EVE excuses, like "testing response time", "loss has already been replaced", and "I mined it myself so it was free".

  1. The Kamio station's been camped so heavily, I figure that's the real reason for your move. It will be interesting to see how you deal with fighting RvB in your new chosen systems.

    1. The Kamio station was camped almost immediately after we arrived, and has been less-camped of late. Station camps are a non-factor in highsec (at least, for our purposes) due to the use of insta-undock bookmarks that enable us to bypass them. Please see the post on December 8th ("Ganking 101") for more info on that.

    2. I'm not sure why RvB would actually care about us saving the miners but a lot of us Agents are RvB alumni (Red Fed Rules!). They are as likely to help us as oppose us.

Remember, James 315 is the Savior of Highsec. All right-thinking pilots are on our side.

      Highsec is worth fighting for.

  2. On a somewhat unrelated note (and I thought I'd comment on the most recent post, in hopes of gathering more responses from other commenters)...

Readers may recall the incident where a rebel Orca was destroyed.
    http://www.minerbumping.com/2012/12/resistance-is-futile.html

I believe the incident involved an unsuccessful gank on an exhumer, who was receiving remote assistance from the Orca. Gankers' aggression towards the exhumer produced a Limited Engagement flag for the exhumer. The Orca's remote assistance to the exhumer then produced a Suspect flag for the Orca.

It seems that criminal aggression no longer produces a Limited Engagmenet flag. Consequently, third parties can provide remote assistance to gank targets without fear of incurring Suspect flags. The earliest I learned of this was Dec. 15. I have not seen anything in the patch notes, so this is likely a "stealth fix".

Can anyone confirm that criminal aggression no longer produces Limited Engagement flags?
