Highsec Miner Grab Bag #12

Take a break from your hectic life, pour yourself a beverage, and browse through the Grab Bag of miscellaneous miner tears.

Agent Zak Fey makes the most intelligent contribution to this conversation, and he's just the scorekeeper.

I can say with total confidence that no one in our Order would ever manipulate the Code.

Enforce it? Read it? Revere it? Yes. But manipulate it? Never!

Yes. We just push you out. "Bump", if you will. The New Order of Highsec, educating miners about game mechanics since 2012.

You know how five year-olds are, always talking about selling their integrity.

Not feeling the love from Corporal Fillip. It's times like these I'm glad for my massive built-in support group, the New Order! We lift each other up.

Read Benny Lava's bio and take a wild guess whether the next screencaps demonstrate that he has a warped view of EVE...

Good guess. Benny actually admits that he thinks EVE is a multiplayer-optional game.

Benny should have consulted with a space lawyer before paying his subscription fee. The second "M" in "MMORPG" does not stand for "mining".

Flamehaired Death is mistaken. I have never repaired mission rats. As for power breakers, I suppose if I see one there's a 50/50 chance it gets flicked.

Agents of the New Order do indeed strike terror into the hearts of criminals.

According to Google Translate, the closest word in English is "redneck". Huh.

You might think Armaniam is threatening Agent BillMurray. In his defense, he could be hoping a computer science nut job loses it and blows up Bill's house in-game. Let's hope so. Bill's house is hard to miss!

  2. EVE IS multiplayer optional. You could always hang out in your CQ if you don't wanna interact. Sit on the couch, catch up on the latest incursion.

  3. Yesterday I wanted to start a career as afk miner but I only have mining 2 and can't fly a barge yet. Do you bump T1 haulers with a mining laser fitted? It's the only thing with a cargo bay big enough for afk activities.

  4. Benny Lava is already 2 years in his corp.

Maybe it is time for some wardecs......I will give the order when I get back home.

    2. If you want to pretend to be me, you have to become a good poster first.

    4. The poing is not to pretend to be you, this is just more fun than posting as an anonymous.

    7. I agree - and this article was great fun to read as usual, but the amount of hate and putrid bile is somewhat disturbing.

If someone can hate someone else just because of a game mechanic they don't like there are plenty of options. I've always believed there is a market for a single player Eve Offline version - same universe, just a bit smaller, keep the wormhole systems and add an awesome storyline arc that see's you building up empires around the two or three different regions and taking on sleeper hulls in wormhole systems. I know it just won't be the same of course but it might be good practice for the mission creators to introduce better missions in the online version.

Which leads me to a thought I had yesterday. There isn't that much difference between mission runners and miners. Mission runners could (not everyone) run missions afk, or even semi afk with the use of drones. Perhaps the new rat AI will disable that option I do hope so as anyone running the game in the background of their daily life while in space shouldn't be entitled to the same rewards and income as those paying attention.

They sure are easier to push out of the way though.

Keep up the good work Agents.

    8. I believe there was a past dev post where CCP said that AFK missioning with the use of sentry drones was prohibited.

    9. Cool thing about solo aspect of Eve, is you ARE allowed to be left alone. Can't have anything done to you while you are docked and you have free reign to do whatever you want. Once you come outside, you are not alone though.

      Choices!

    2. With a name like Mallak and with a last name straight from a bad anime comic, he has to be a "guy"

    5. Your link to my profile is still broken. Too many comma's in such a short sentence. I know of some great adult education classes you can attend where they teach lazy & stupid people how to actually read & write English properly. Mail me in game & I'll send you a referral.

  6. I go away for a few days for my final operation to turn me from a hairy brutish man, to a hairy brutish woman and everyone starts to pretend to be me.

  7. This is absolutely hilarious. I am truly honoured that people hold me in such high esteem to want to be me.

  8. So Mallak, now that you have had the "chop" how about you and I go out some time, I love a woman with a hairy back ; )

  9. He is alone in his corp.

So no use of a wardec shame.
